I actually really like themes of Religion in Stormzs character and how they tie into Bliss as well. I mean, Obviously, right? Fallen angel, Icarus, wings. But it does go a little deeper than that.
A Prophet is inherently a religious concept -- the messenger of god, to spread the word of god. In this, the wisps are basically the Prophets apostles. But instead of helping spread the word of god, they are appointed to help perpetuate the cycle of violence by representing and pushing two extremes of greed.
Balance to be the pursuit of freedom in knowledge, Mani to be the pursuit of freedom in action.
This ties into the Human/Weapon ideology that bliss too, but Stormz specifically has kept up. When it comes to religion, there is a very set definition to humanity. Humans, above all else, are said to be made in gods image and the key difference between them and animals is knowledge. The ability to pursue knowledge. This pursuit in knowledge leads to the integration of morals. These morals are what seperate them. While animals, dont care for this and are driven on instinctual violence. More often than not, humans themselves who decide to discard being upheld on moral beliefs are devalued down to the same status as an animal. Violent.
Stormz, by far, internalizes and upkeeps this 'ideology' the most - perpetuating it on the server the most. His white wings represent a skewed version of balances path while his black wings represent a skewed version of Mani's path. Human and Weapon, White wings and Black wings, Balance and Mani. And it is so. So... sickening(/pos) that during a time in his life where he was actively trying to embrace his White Wings fully, Balance was the most present in his life then and mostly in a Negative light.
Also the fact that he was teamed with someone favored by balance and someone favored by mani during this time and that these two people were following those respective paths. It really just adds onto it.
Mani and Balance are extremes in goals, in purpose. Stormz embodies that, too. Because Manilance both attempt to get players to follow their paths, to set their goals according to their respective path. Stormzs issues with his purpose/identity are perpetuated by being told what he is and what he should do, and how the wisps play into this role in bliss does not help whatsoever.
When it comes to religion, this is also the case. Being told what you can and cannot do, teachings to reshape your mindset and goals. To spread the word of god was to introduce a new way of life entirely, dictates by moral beliefs and the punishment of sins. The punishment of wrongdoing. The punishment of wrong doing to encourage reshaping your life and goals accordong to the Right teachings.
His whole 'fallen angel' theme fits so disgustingly well consodering not only the fact that he was essentially abandoned by Balance (someone he saw as a god) and that Manilance described him as 'rebelious'. (Bingey comms too about how stormz thought he could rebel against the gods essentially) Fallen angels are basically angels rejected and cast down from heaven for disobeying an order and essentially being abandoned by god. Balance was not inherently Stormzs god in the sense that Stormz worshipped it, much the opposite, but it was Stormzs God. A higher power in the form of divinity approaching a fallen angel to guide him, faced with rebellion and im response, berates and abandons him. Wow. Wow dude.
Themes and values of polarities on bliss is not a can of worms i will be getting into however. Understand this. Bliss is a world that runs on Polarity and that is what upkeeps it in its entirety, while Stormz is someone who does Not do well with polarities. This is what makes Bliss an exceptional environment for him to get worse - it is practically catered to feed into his balck and white mindset which is a really bad trait of his. In this, Bliss is basically his own hell.
