when it comes to art, something so vulnerable and difficult to make, why is criticism handed so harshly? especially with music, I think listeners are so quick to say "the lyrics are cringe" and "your old music was better" and "this is a skip" and "flop" etc etc. the amount of dog piling, ridicule and humiliation that comes with releasing music is insane. people will tear you apart for the sound of your voice, your musical skills, your lyricism, your looks, your story and call it an opinion they're entitled to.
