TUNAIETY

Trey Reed was found yesterday hanging from a tree in Mississippi. The police are saying there was "no foul play", but anyone with half a brain knows what this really is. This was a young black man who was lynched this week in America. A thousand articles on Charlie Kirk, and yet I have heard nothing but radio silence about Trey Reed. I only learned about it when a video popped up on my social media. Think about the implications of this: this is a modern day lynching, a hate crime, and a conservative white man is getting all of the press while Reed gets nothing. Liberals and conservatives alike are mourning Kirk, but where are the people speaking out against Reed's murder?

If anyone still thinks we don't still have a massive racism problem is this country, it's time to wake up. The sad thing is, I think most people know that, it's just that so many people do not care.

I know I don't have much reach here, but I haven't seen a single thing about this man, and this atrocity cannot just be forgotten, lost under the articles of Charlie Kirk and whatever Trump is doing.

OK: beginner advice

The ideal situation would be one where you dive right into making music without caring about how other people are doing it, or about what’s right or wrong. That’s something I struggle with a lot these days… I don’t know how to get back the creative and curious spirit I had when I first started as a teenager playing around with guitar pro or famitracker or my pirated copy of FL studio.

Obvious advice: Listen to a lot of music!

More obvious advice: If you play an instrument, learn some songs that you like! It’s so much easier to apply your ideas when you know what the building blocks to “normal songs” are.

You tell me: "I've been trying for two years, and everything I've done has been of no use." But let me tell you: No, you are not the one who should be tired. You are behind the screen. They are under fire. You see the bombing from afar, and they are under the rubble. You are silent from exhaustion, and they are being buried by the world's silence.

If you are tired of just following, what about those who are living through the massacre? Those who lost their homes, their families, their bodies, their names?

If two years of solidarity have weighed down your heart, what about those who have lived through two years of hunger, terror, and betrayal?
