Name’s Sonia. I’m a Spanish genX married bitch (probably old enough to be your mom) who has a lot of hobbies, plays videogames and fangirls like a teenager over fictional characters. I am supossed to be a doctor, but I try not to act as one as much as possible. Always liked to draw but too lazy to do it properly.
I have rescued this blog mostly to reblog art (and other things that catch my attention) and post my own art and ramblings about my two current obessions: Guild Wars 2 and Dragon Age, and find communities about both fandoms. Right now more obsessed with GW2, but there will be random posts about any of my interests... which are a lot.

Dragon Age
Dragon Age Origins/ Awakening: Yllwenn Tabris - city elf, romanced Zevran. Created in 2010 when I first played the game. Stubborn, short tempered, but adorable. Looks exactly like Jenna Coleman and I created her before knowing the actress existed (My inspiration was more Audrey Hepburn). Since she doesn't appear in the other three games, I wrote the scripts for a comic I will never draw (though there are some drafts in Deviant) with everything that happened to them after Awakening. She didn’t make the ritual with Morrigan and forced Loghain to sacrifice himsefl to atone for his crimes. Probably my favorite and most popular character, she had a blast with some silly strips I made about her also in Deviantart. They are still there so here’s the link for those curious. That helped me to define my own drawing style and no, I haven’t improved since then.
Dragon Age II: Deirdre Hawke - married Sebastian. I never finished DA2 so my headcanon is that she’s a bitch who just married him because of the power, to unite Kirkwall and Starhaven. I don't like much the game so I'm not very attached to her. Even so, she’s too selfish to stay in the fade :/
Dragon Age Inquisition: Willow Adaar - romancing Bull, but with a strong crush on Sera. Made her to look like a female version of DAO Sten because I still reject horned Qunari. Later I decided that she could be his daughter. Now it’s canon for me. Still playing. I love the game but the open world and the side quests distract me a lot, so it’s taking me a bit to finish it…
Dragon Age The Veilguard : Valendrian (Val) Tabris/Liadir - Son of Yllwenn and Zevran, spent too much time babysitted by Isabella, romanced Bellara. While I don’t think Veilguard was a good game, deciding that he is my Warden’s son made me sort of enjoy the story and go back to some strips and a lot of more writing and headcanons. Yes he looks a lot like dad. I wanted him to look more like mom but the character creator decided against it.

Guild Wars 2
Been playing since 2013 (I just missed the first part of Southsun), my husband joined a year later and we’ve been playing together since then. I have had several obsessive periods but this is the very first one I felt the need to start writing and drawing fanart. Right now I’m obsessed and hyper focused, let’s see how long does it last.
Account: Sonia.7910 (NA server, because I joined with my RP friends who were from all over the world and now that they don’t play anymore I still don’t want to move)
The Commander: Marilyn Mallory - human commoner (shamelessly imported from a Dragon Age rpg with some friends, has moved to Tyria and she’s happy there). Initially married to her childhood love, Kyle Mallory. Since her husband’s player doesn’t play anymore, she's sort of divorced, thought she kept his name because why not, and dating Canach. Still optimistic despite all she has endured. She's a bit of a cinnamon roll, maybe because she's my refuge from all the bad things in the real world. Originally and mainly a thief, she trained as an elementalist with Siamanta and became a revenant after being killed by Balthazar. Also she originally joined the Order of Whispers but after killing Zaithan she decided to join too the other two, being the Priory her fave and the one she says she belongs at heart. All of this to justify I created her thrice so she could wear all the armor weights and play all the Orders stories, and now, testing different hairdos for each of them. I changed their hairdo some weeks ago (at first all the three wore Anise's original hairdo) and I'm now completely in love with them, specially the thief version. But I may upload some fanart in which she wears the old hairdo, mostly because of the canon timeline, so I hope it is not too confusing.
My current obsession, love her too much and right now she will be the center of this blog. Deal with it.
The Other Commander: Siamanta Cierzofrio - human noble. She’s my husband @oniromante 's main character. Since he joined a bit later than me, she met Marilyn when Kyle and her joined the order of Whispers and all the three defeated Zaithan together. She’s hopelessly in love with Marilyn but unfortunately not corresponded.
The “agents”: I’m not an alt-holic and the story of my Commander is definitely Marilyn’s, but I wanted to have at least one character of each race and each profession, so my headcanon is that they serve as agents of Marilyn and Siamanta around Tyria, going on errands for them and getting achievements and collections. Warrior and Guardian were the last ones because I don't like heavy armor classes and I had already one of each race, then I thought "hey, maybe I should make some HANDSOME male characters" and that's how they were born, many years later.
Sariel Elenrina: Sylvari Mesmer from the cycle of dawn. She was my first character but got neglected on behalf of Marilyn, mostly because when I started playing, as a noob, the Grove overwhelmed all my senses, it was too eerie for me, so I switched to a human to feel more comfortable. I have changed my view about sylvaris over the years (blame that snarky cactus!) but it was too late for her, Marilyn will always be my favourite. Anyway Sariel's the one who got farther in the story apart from Marilyn and I plan to play HOT with her too, because I NEED to play if from a sylvari POV. She was Marilyn's mentor when she joined the vigil and became close friends until Trahearne's death. Sariel blames Marilyn for killing him because she thought there should have been another way to save him and that made them part ways. Very serious and responsible, she's still the Second in Command while the Commanders are away from Core Tyria. BTW, I chose her name knowing NOTHING about GW2 lore, just because I thought it fitted a sylvari character. The game didn't allow me to use it so I assumed other player had taken it and just added a surname to make it unique. You can imagine my surprise when I had to fight another Sariel at the Nightmare Court XDD.
Krys Mackenz: Norn Ranger. Currently exploring Cantha, looking for new pets. Changed her looks a bit ago, but I may change her again because I'm still not satisfied.
Latanna Silvertongue: Charr Engineer, Iron legion. After a time in Cantha researching jade technology, with my husband's asura engineer, Suray Rojobotón, under Taimi's supervision, now she's gone to Elona with Desubi (yay for him!). She's inspired on my black cat Ripley. She's getting old so she's a bit grouch and fast to slap people who bothers her, but she has a heart of gold.
Ann Ceturix: Asura Necromancer who's was destined to explore jumping puzzles due to her tiny size, but now she's free to continue exploring the world. She's a grumpy pouty tomboy.
Qutero Meatpiercer: Charr Warrior, Blood legion. A bit of a Jack of all trades. He's got destined to Heart of Maguuma to give Poto a rest. Poor little thing. He's inspired on my late cat Bishop. He's young, idealistic, wants to be in the spotlight and admires deeply his mentor Latanna.
Poto Suculento: Sylvari Guardian from the cycle of dusk. He's back to central Tyria after finishing his duties in Heart of Maguuma, doing minor tasks. I'm enjoying a lot playing a guardian with him. Yes his name is a pun, because I tried to make him really handsome. I probably did since my husband's sylvari, Kady Noterossa, is crazy for him XD.
Spelunker Sprigg: Asura Mesmer (I'm planning to change him to a thief? Mostly because I don't want to have two characters of the same race and the same armor weight) who will take the task of exploring jumping puzzles from Ann. He's young, tiny and carefree. Nephew of Ann. I headcanon the Commander asura agents look for recruits among each year new Snaff Savant prize winner. Based on Sprig Plantar from Amphybia. I'm pondering to re-make him as a thief...
Philip José: human revenant who changes faces every now and then, destined to Divinity’s Reach and Queensdale as a contact to Queen Jennah. He has a strong crush on Petra, but has told her nothing yet because he doesn't want to put her in danger. Actually he’s a key farmer, and each time I make him again I try to make a different handsome guy so my headcanon is that he's a master of disguise. Yes all my secondary characters have pun names.
Pili, Mili and Vanilli: Thieves from the thieves guild who assist Marilyn in her fights. Latelly, Vanilli sometimes is replaced by Ritika.
Ritika: she is the skritt who was assigned to Marilyn before they departed to Castora. She’s very dedicated and her favorite shinnies are Canach coins, which she kept stealing from him during their trip aboard the Martingale. She uses a communicator provided by the Captain’s Council (developed by the Priory) to help skritt to communicate among themselves, so they keep their hive mind while being alone traveling with their assigned thief to be clever enough to do their tasks. That’s why she has a device on her ear. Created her when I found how funny Antiquary spec is (not sure if it is a good spec but it is definitely funny!) and she got a name when I met at work a woman called Ritika and I thought "Hey, that's a great skritt name!. Desubi R'Alarbol: Tengu from Echovald. I was saving the name in case one day they made Tengu as a playable race but that's not gonna happen so now he's just a headcanon OC. He's gonna fullfill his dream to visit Elona with Latanna. Some bits and pieces about his backstory under the tag #Desubi
Loolaa, Leelaa and Laaloo, the quaggan triplets - Because they're so adorable they deserve to become NPCs too. Adopted by the Commander after Evon Gnashblade found them wandering in his vaults after the coup performed by Ms. Jeeves the cat. They had nowhere to go so Marilyn decided to give them a home in her homestead.
I headcanon that my husband's alts are agents too, but I'm not sure if I should share their info here since it is his to share.
