My name is Shada, I’m 24 years old, a new nurse graduate from Gaza 🇵🇸, and I’m reaching out in the hope that you might take a moment to hear my story.

I gave birth to my baby boy, Adam , in the middle of this war. He is now 5 months old. We’ve lost everything—our home was destroyed, and my husband’s work as a water truck driver is gone. We have evacuated multiple times, and today we live in a crowded tent camp 🏕️, not knowing where we’ll go next.

On top of everything, Adam was born with clubfoot and needs urgent surgery 🏥 that cannot be done in Gaza—not now, not even before the war. He also needs special medical boots afterward.

We’re trying to raise funds to evacuate to safety and give our son a real chance at life.

TikTok, for the past like 5 years or so, has been a key cultural component to society. Personally, I’ve learned hundreds of things on that godforsaken app. I and the other thousands of people who also use the app have learned things we wouldn’t have ever learned somewhere else. Many older people are trying to skew the perception of what younger people are saying. We don’t want TikTok because our brain rotted minds won’t know what to do, or that we need our little dance videos. TikTok has been a place of community and communication for people across the globe, and getting rid of that is going to be terrible for the american people. What next after TikTok huh? Tumblr? Reddit? Discord? Fuck it, Pinterest?

Not only that, but people are just taking it. While yes, I believe it would be in our best interests if we collectively found a new app. Because we need to start thinking ahead in the case that TikTok is no longer useful, and finding another community platform is a great way to start. However, some people believe that’s all we need to do. Absolutely not. We have to fight this. We cannot let them believe we are going to sit here and take this. Riot, peaceful protest, break the law, etc. Obviously, I wouldn’t want to encourage anything bad, but the billionaires, corporations, and our government couldn’t care less about a peaceful protest. We are the dirt on the bottom of their feet.
