Anon I wish I could give you a specific date, but unfortunately my writing schedule is all over the place (as it always is if I'm being real 😅) along with some irl stuff.

These next few chapters have been rough to get through as they're mainly set-ups in between main events. So a big part of me is just too impatient to get to the juicier stuff. BUT in order to get there, I have to get through these bits.

If it's any consolation, the very next chapter is mostly done, and I am actually considering splitting it into 2. If that happens, you will probably see an update sooner!

Not sure which chapter this will fall in, but have a lil sneak peek of Lestat pulling Louis into his shenanigans:

Lestat isn’t wrong. Louis’d stopped studying about half an hour ago, and, while he lives by the idea that an attempt is an attempt, he also can’t deny the amusement he finds in pushing Lestat’s buttons. Watching the predictable progress of his patience wearing thin, of seeing the short fuse going off. Louis likes predicting the exact moment Lestat will get bored once more and start bothering him again. 

This time, his boredom has him rising from his spot on the floor and draping himself over Louis’ desk—right on top of his books, his notebook, calculator and all. Louis will be finding blond strands of hair in his stuff for a week. 

“Are you insane?!” Louis asks, “Like, somethin’’s wrong with your head?” he taps him on the forehead with a finger. 

“Yes,” says Lestat, batting his gold eyelashes at him, “there is something wrong with my head, it’s that I’m bored, and my best friend doesn’t wanna do anything about it. Even Mojo is bored by you—”

“Don’t bring Mojo into this–”

“Look at her Louis,” Lestat says solemnly, turning his head towards the corner of the room, “she’s weeping,” he whispers. 

Mojo is not weeping, Mojo is quite happinly chewing on her toy.  

Louis looks down at Lestat, at his big fuckin’ head, his pouting red lips, his wide blue eyes blinking up at him innocently. 

“She’s not weeping,” he says, sounding defeated even to his own ears.

Lestat stares. 

“Lemme just finish this chapter and then–” but before Louis can finish the sentence Lestat's eyes roll back into his head and he starts letting out loud and obnoxious snores to drown him out.

 And Louis tries, he always tries, to not laugh. To not give in. But…

I’m sorry it’s taking so long, I’ve been having an insane writers block, but it is still coming. Most likely after the new year!
