Hi! This is my main blog, my side blog where you'll find the stuff I reblog and want to show off that isn't directly related to conlanging, worldbuilding, or my work here. This is the main blog, and from Aug 13 2022 is exclusively used for my conlang work, Ðusyþ Wotd, and worldbuilding.

I used to do Ðusyþ Word of the Day here but I've discontinued it because I just don't like Ðusyþ very much anymore :P. It's from several years ago so that's natural.

In case the below description isn't super clear, biîbi can serve two primary purposes:

as a small clause before another word, provides the listener a "heads-up" about information regarding the following discussion. it's used to flag incidental or additional information that is still important but not important enough to warrant a full clause

as a conjunction, indicates additional or follow-up information contextualising the previous clause

I did read through the paper! It's quite intriguing and the hypothesis they put out is rather convincing... though I do have a few questions on things like the dating of the structures (which they do partially acknowledge is currently limited) and survivorship bias, given that most of Earth around the equator during the time period they discuss was ocean, and the southern hemisphere undergoing glacial erosion that could obscure structures (which they also do partially acknowledge).
