I figured out why the #TrumpAdministration is so off! They are clearly #homunculi! I’ve got it down to #Trump being #Pride, #Ivanka is #Lust, #Pence is #Wrath, pretty sure #Kavanaugh is #Gluttony, #TomiLahren is #Vanity, #SarahHuckabeeSanders is #Sloth, and Jr. is Greed. Try to convince me otherwise!

When Dumbledore looks into the Mirror of Erised, perhaps he does see a new pair of socks but leaves out several crucial details of what he sees to spare Harry, and himself, the pain of the true image. Perhaps the mirror takes Dumbledore back to his youth. To a time before his hair was whitened by the ages, to a time before his nose was broke in the break with his brother, to a time before his heart was broke by the death of his sister. Perhaps the mirror takes him to a specific day when, while he poured over a book obsessively, his sister presented to him a hand made pair of socks. A pair which in fact was not a pair, as one was significantly larger than the other and neither were particularly well made. But they were perfect in her eyes. Perhaps the mirror does not show how Dumbledore criticized the make of the socks, bringing tears to his sisters eyes which he never saw fore the lack of interest he had in her. Perhaps the mirror does not show him dismissing her to go outside and keep herself occupied. Perhaps it does not show, that while outside she set the misshapen socks a flame with her first act of childhood magic, temporarily bring joy to his sisters face; joy which would never be seen on her face again, as the muggles who witnessed the act took her ability to experience such joy. Perhaps, instead, the mirror shows Dumbledore this day the way he wishes it had been. He turns and beams at the presentation of the gift. He dons the socks and does not notice the sizes. He does not notice the uneven stitches. Instead he kisses her on the forehead. He leaves the book he had been obsessed over to teach her how to play gobstones. During which, in her elation of winning a game over her brother, she levitates the gobstones in her first act of childhood magic. Dumbledore sweeps her into the air in pride and tells her that someday she will go to Hogwarts and become a great witch. And the hug. And they love each other. In the mirror, he gives her the love he never did in life. He gives her the love he wished he could now. Yet he never will be able to. So he despises the mirror, but cannot let it go. That is until he finds young Harry tortured, as he himself is tortured, by the mirror. That night he lets the mirror go. He gazes at his sisters happy face for the last time and instead of weeping he smiles.

I have been meaning to share this one for a while now. I was doing rounds, as pro staff, and randomly stopped in a building I don't normally visit because it's super quiet. The RA on duty asks "Did security call you about the leak?". They ad not. I go out back of the building to see that water is pouring off the roof/balcony above the lobby. The water had a distinct chlorine smell so it was defiantly coming from a pipe. Not good. We go to the rooms on the second floor near where the water was coming from make sure nothing was leaking in the building. We knock on a door. No response. I send the RA to get the master key. While waiting we continue to knock. Eventually we hear a loud crashing in the room and the resident comes to the door. He was soaked and in swim trunks. Upon looking into the room we see a hose running from the bathroom out the window. We ask what's going on and the resident replies, as if it's completely normal, "We have a little pool on the balcony". They had managed to get a kiddy pool up the balcony without anyone seeing it and were pumping hot water from the shower to the pool to create a hot tub on the balcony... I could not even pretend I was not impressed. They win the Creativity award for the year!
