DSLRās, depth of field, aperture, shutter
Iām not going to pretend that I soaked in that first video (DSLR camera), because I didnāt. I think I understand, but probably Iāll have to watch the video again with captions/transcript to have it really sink in.Ā
How digital color works video:
Iāve read a lot and watched a lot about this topic before and it still blows my minds every time. Color theory is so neat, and the way that light works is amazing. I love that we (humankind I guess) figured this out! Itās so cool! The way we perceive color by itās surrounding is so interesting and a little confounding. I think itās weird how yellow is created in light, whereas with paint you canāt mix to make the primary colors. Also itās crazy how all the colors/lights make white, but no light makes black. I like how this video talked about itās informations applications to photoshop.Ā
Yeah, I didnāt know what this was. I only know the word aperture from a video game company name I think? I didnāt know what this was or what F-stop was, but it makes sense and is clearly really useful! (dollarshave club ad was random tho)
The first video talked a lot about different options and variable and thatās really helpful.Ā
I liked this oneās visuals, that was really helpeful. Iām a little confused as to why the bigger the number the smaller the aperture?Ā
SO this one the bigger denominator the more details you see I think? This was more of just demos than explanation and it seemed like in the 1/30 you saw blurs and stuff and just a stream as water but as you got to 1/4000 you could see lots of the frames and stopping at any moment you could see individual droplets.Ā
I liked the little warning they put for indoor lighting, thatās something I feel a lot of beginners would get frustrated with trying to troubleshoot.
Overall, I honestly had a hard time watching these because photography is pretty much one of the only art forms (here anyway) that I donāt have as much interest in. Most of it made sense to me though!
Okay the click-to-focus feature thing is SUPER well done. Literally any pieces could be focused on, even ones that, to me, would make sense to have as the focus.Ā
The second simulator took me a bit to understand, but it definitely helped me get the concepts more.Ā
In general Im glad the simulators were include because they helped the videos make way more sense.Ā
