âConnor comes home after a really long and bad day, and Troye takes care of him.â ** Connor sat still in his car for a moment before opening the door, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, trying to shake free of the negative thoughts that constantly entered his mind. He had been busy for multiple hours everyday for the last few weeks, and it was taking its toll on him that he couldnât spend as much time with friends as he would like to. But one specific person he wanted to spend time with was Troye, especially since he was only physically with Connor for a couple of weeks at a time before parting. The stress that had been lying on Connorâs shoulders, constantly ringing in his head, had hit him harder than ever today. After stressful meetings and no motivation for making videos, the motivation to smile and keep a happy face on had also been lacking lately. He had been good at hiding it up until now, but now he just felt like crying. When he opened the door and got out of the car he got a text message, and when he brought his phone out from his jeans Troyeâs name showed on the display. âWhere are you?â the message said, followed by; âDo u want to go out for dinner tonight? Iâm kinda craving sushi.â Connor frowned and stopped outside his door, and he felt a bit bad that he was just about to go inside and say no to Troyeâs plans. So when he opened the door and saw Troye sitting on the couch with his phone in his hands, he tried his best to give him a genuine smile. Troye stood up immediately and held his arms out, quickly walking over to embrace him. He seemed like he had seen something in Connorâs eyes right as he stepped inside the apartment, because his hug was both soft and firm at the same time. âYou okay?â Troye asked, his arms wrapped around Connorâs waist and his head on his shoulder. Connor only stood with his arms falling along his sides for a second, but then brought them up to behind Troyeâs neck to come even closer to him. He considered not telling him the truth, but as he felt the frustration build up more and more inside him and the tears well in his eyes, he just shook his head. âWhatâs wrong?â Troye asked, clearly concerned. He didnât look up at Connor when he didnât answer, but instead patiently waited until Connor felt stable enough to speak. âI donât know,â he said, shrugging. His voice was quiet as he was afraid that it would break, but he had immediately felt better from the warm feeling that Troyeâs hug gave him. âIâm just overwhelmed. Thatâs all.â Troye nodded and kept his tight grip around Connor, and Connor was constantly wiping away the quiet tears that continued falling down his cheeks. âItâs okay to have bad days,â Troye said reassuringly, slowly starting to lean back to get a look of Connorâs face. When he did, Connor covered his face with his hand from embarrassment, but Troye pushed it away. âDonât do that.â âSorry,â Connor said and laughed a little, wiping tears away and clearing his throat. Troyeâs face remained worried, and he brushed his thumb across Connorâs cheek to wipe another tear away as it started falling. âDid you see my text?â Troye asked, and Connor nodded. âDo you want to order in instead?â âIf thatâs okay with you,â Connor said while nodding, feeling guilty again. But Troye smiled and took a step back, running his hand along Connorâs arm down to his hand and grabbed it. He lead him over to the couch and sat down, then grabbed his phone that was placed on the table in front of them. He dialed the number to a sushi restaurant and ordered them dinner, and Connor was leaning his head on Troyeâs shoulder with closed eyes. He was finally starting to calm down, but still had the anxious feeling in his chest that he had had for a much longer time than he liked. âThey will be here with the food in thirty minutes,â Troye said, putting his phone down again and stood up. âDo you want tea in the mean time?â âSure,â Connor answered, smiling as honest as he possibly could. Connor watched as Troye walked around the kitchen, asking Connor how he wanted his tea and promised him that they would take the weekend off and just do whatever he wanted to. He then placed two cups on the table, turning on the TV and grabbing a blanket on his way to the couch. When he sat down he put the blanket over them and cuddled up close to Connor, but made sure that he was the one being embraced by Troye. âIf you want to talk about it, you know that Iâll listen, right?â Connor nodded and looked up at Troye, meeting his eyes. Troye put his hand under Connorâs chin and tilted his head a little bit upward, then softly kissed his lips. âI love you, Con.â âI love you too.â
