It was a real pleasure working on the Roses team, exploring their personalities, silhouettes and visual identities through character design.

All that glitters is not gold...

I've always found so fascinating how for all the show and flashiness they put on, Casper and Callista actually grew up in the lower quarters of Mestras. They are the captains of the Bards, the banner who represents beauty, aesthetic, glory. Yet they come from the dust and sweat of their father's forge. I wouldn't be surprised if they also used to work in it before Kal Asterock.

They want to be golden so bad but, unfortunately, unlike gold, iron does rust.

Here is a Dragon Striker fancomic I've made about the twins. It's only my own interpretation of the characters and what I personally imagine of their childhood, but I hope you'll still enjoy it!

Age line up I made for the comic! I had fun imagining what they would look like at each age.

Comics was always a thing I wanted to do, but i felt like a mountain back then. Too much of hassle! However because I wanted to tell so much more stories about the twins I've finally took a leap of faith and tried. Turns out now it's my favorite thing to draw haha.

Here's the storyboard & colorscript if it may interest you. It was the work of a whole month while working during the day, so allow me to talk about it a bit more haha.
