The goal of our rules is not to create a power imbalance or for me to be put on a pedestal. The goal is for him to level up in areas one of us has identified needs work. Some benefit me directly, while others are linked to his personal and fitness goals - but as a whole they benefit us collectively.
Iβve edited these a little to remove overly specific details, but these are the rules we have established for our DD
1. Always kiss me goodbye. No exceptions.
2. You will provide adequate notice when you will be late. If you are an hour from home, you should know at least an hour before; if you are calling when you should have already been on the road, you are violating this rule. Reasonable exceptions will be made for work.
a. Schedules will be reviewed on Sundays to set expectations for the week. All current plans, with times, should be discussed.
b. At my discretion, missed plans, appointments, or avoidable disruptions may be disciplined.
3. You will speak kindly to me and respect my role in our home. Playful teasing is acceptable, but disrespect and rudeness will not be tolerated. This is at my discretion.
a. You will speak of me to others with the same kindness and respect. (I feel compelled to add that this is not an issue weβve ever had, but after a party where some friends of a friend were speaking so disparagingly about their partners, I added it preemptively. I addressed it in the moment with HH that if I ever heard he spoke about me in such a way, he wouldnβt be able to sit down for a week.)
4. We will not fall asleep without an affirmation of love.
5. Daily affirmations of love should become a regular part of your routine. I will not fully define this, but text/calling check-ins, sending of βthinking of youβ posts/memes etc., fall into this category.
6. Date nights will be scheduled at least twice a month. Activity planning is your responsibility once a month.
a. Plans do not need to be extravagant but should focus on quality time spent together
7. Sundays will include a maintenance spanking to re-center and ground us in our love and commitment to each other and our DD lifestyle.
a. Self-reported misbehavior is welcome at any time and will be addressed accordingly.
b. A new maintenance day will be designated at the previous weekβs schedule review if we are apart on a Sunday.
8. Alcohol and other substances should be consumed with care.
a. Driving while impaired is not acceptable.
b. Being late because you were too impaired to drive will result in additional punishment.
9. You will always close and lock the door before a spanking or other bedroom activity.
10. Your health and well-being are central to our success. You will determine the proper regime, but maintaining the correct schedule is necessary.
a. You will take your vitamins and supplements daily in the morning and evening.
11. Watch the language. Inappropriate language (mixed company or not) will result in disciplinary action.
12. I reserve the right to add, modify, or enhance these rules at any time, at my discretion.
While I set the rules, nothing I am asking came as a surprise to @hillbillyhubby. Weβd had several conversations about what was important to us as a couple and the areas where he needed additional motivation to be successful. They are real and manageable - nothing on this list sets him up to fail.
Is this list exhaustive? Absolutely not. There may be times where he does something naughty and I will decide correction is needed, but they do capture some often repeated incidents that for us provide a good structure.
