The Koopa Kids' mother (Cheryl Golder) spends her days in her yacht in Coralmead that she got from her meaty divorce payout. She doesn't put too much effort into reaching out, she was never too fond of childcare after the honeymoon period she had after each baby.

Do the Koopalings & Koopa Kids ever have family reunions? What's that like?

they aren’t that important for the au so i dont mind yapping about them a bit

unfortunately i haven’t got official artwork for them yet, so you’ll just have a lot of text to read im afraid

ALSO i’ll just say this now, even though it hasn’t been mentioned before, this au takes place in the year 2020. just cause that’s when i started it-

Prince Leopold Koopa, Duke of Forest Land (King Koopa)

- He was born November 1st, 1976, making him 44 as of the AU timeline.

- He is Bowser’s younger brother, uncle to the Koopalings, and biological father to the Koopa Kids. This makes the Koopa Kids the Koopalings’ cousins.

- He is only two years younger than Bowser, and growing up, there was a lot of rivalry between them. He is still secretly very bitter over being the spare.

- Generally a sour and unlikeable person, which is why after the ‘birth’ of the twins (koopa birth is very different to human), his wife left him.

- He isn’t green like in the show, he has the same skin colour as Bowser (which is basically white for koopas), but he has green hair and yellow irises.

Prince Hickory Edward Koopa (Hip)

- He was born June 22nd, 2011, making him 9 years old

- The way the shows canonicity works in this au is weird, cause its more of a loose inspiration, like this au isn’t nineties, not american, and it’d be a ballache to incorporate if i was sticking closely to it, which i’m not. So, any event or from the show that is canon, they were three years younger there than they are now. does that make sense? no. do i care? a little bit actually, but it’s fine. anyway-

- While Hickory and Hopper are their real names, they call each other Hip and Hop as cute lil nicknames.

- Hickory is the twin who takes charge more. He’s confident and can be a bossy bitch sometimes, but he’s like a child so it makes sense.

- far more hyperactive than Hopper, but often crashes hard after like 7pm and becomes really lethargic.

- Actively refuses to eat healthily. Hand him a carrot and you’ll become a snowman. A few years ago, Leopold considered putting them on a diet, and he led a hunger strike that went on for 7 hours until Hickory almost bit Greenwood Castle’s royal advisor, which is when Leopold gave in.

Prince Hopper Edmund Koopa (Hop)

- He was born June 22nd, 2011, making him 9 years old

- He is one of the smarter people in the family, which is surprising considering his age.

- Despite this, he’s quite mischievous, coming up with most of the ideas for pranks the twins play on the people living in the castle.

- He loves reading, and then yapping to Hickory about what he’s read.

- Plays Geometry Dash religiously

Prince Chester Thomas Koopa (Cheatsy)

- Born November 17th, 2007, making him 13.

- Autistic, and stereotypes be damned, trains are one of his biggest special interests. He commands a fleet of model trains in his room.

- Because of his massive collection, he’s very good at fixing mechanical devices. It’ll be a random Tuesday afternoon and you’ll find him crawling on top of the kitchen counter with microwaves parts everywhere. Think of that one scene in Young Sheldon where he dissects a fucking fridge for some reason.

- I’ve elected to draw him with the SMW light green hair rather than the SMB3 blue. it’s more interesting to me.

- He had a brief few months in his younger years (around 5-8) where he was called Cheatsy by his family because he was scarily good at cheating in games without people noticing.

Prince Biggs Montgomery Koopa (Big Mouth)

- Born October 22nd, 2006, making him 14.

- Loves nothing more in this world than gossip. He knows everyone’s shit, and spreads it like butter on toast.

- He’s not adverse to starting rumours either, one time he almost convinced the family that his sister was pregnant. His nickname of Big Mouth should be obvious.

- Literally everyone protested Biggs being named Biggs, but Leopold was being very petulant, and wrote it on the birth certificate himself. The reason for the name was because Leopold loved Biggie Smalls at the time. The phase ended a few weeks after.

- definitely has a tiktok rant page.

Princess Krystal Penelope Koopa (Kootie Pie)

- Born July 18th 2004, making her 16.

- Kootie Pie was a nickname her mother had for her as a baby, pleased that she had had a girl.

- An absolute TERROR. She is extremely immature and vain, expecting everything to go her way. She is the least favourite child, from her servamts to her family in general.

- She flaunts her immense wealth and royal status constantly, often by wearing as much flashy jewellery as can fit on her.

- Leopold more or less just gives into her.

Prince Koki Magnus Koopa (Kooky)

- Born September 3rd, 2003, making him 17.

- Autistic, and his special interest is all forms of science, but specifically chemistry and the elements.

- He is really unhealthy. He has an abysmal sleep schedule, only eats fried or sugary food, and his hair is a grease trap. He struggles with keeping up hygiene routines like bathing, which isn’t necessarily his fault. He’s come a long way since he was a kid, but he has a ways to go.

- As a kid, he was bullied for these things, and a mean name they called him was Kooky Koki, so he really doesn’t like any names like that.

Prince Bruno James Koopa (Bully)

- Born May 1st, 2003, making him 17.

- He is absolutely giant, 7’1 (which is slightly above average for teenage koopas) and a massive 400 pounds, heavier than both his dad and uncle (Bowser)

- He used to bully his siblings as a kid (hence nickname) but he grew out of it after one time where he tried to push around Roy and he got absolutely demolished, and he got humbled.

- He easily consumes half of the food the entire castle does.

- He secretly really enjoys pampering himself, bubble baths, face masks, what have you.

One more thing, I’d like to drop a map of the Koopa Kingdom in this au.

Sidenote, this world in general has the outline of our real world continents, with different borders.

While all of the main cast of this au live in Darkland, the Koopa Kids all live in Greenwood.
