This project took me 28 1/2 hours and it is a whopping 18 seconds long. I don't think animation is in my future.Â
Letâs re-crush everyoneâs soul with #UNILIFE.
As depressing as it is, I still really love this project.

Letâs break this down.
The spirals were pretty easy to do. I made some simple patterns in Illustrator and then printed them out, I put those same papers back into a printer and printed a spiral on top of them. I knew my coloured ink was limited, but I didn't know quite how badly so I printed my coloured tv bars first and then some solid colours. I basically ran out of colour on the first page, the blue had these weird pink streaks in it, but it looked super cool so I ran with it and used it to break up the spirals. After that it was time for âSomething unexpectedâ this is when the animation takes a turn for the digital. Because these pages take up the entire screen, the viewer is completely submersed and has no context for what is happening. I printed a few different types of static, black and white âcolouredâ tv bars and glitch art. (which I am obsessed with) Then I just moved them slightly to continue the feeling of movement. I wanted this to be really fast-paced so I knew I only needed a few shots of each one, I got them centered, moved them slightly and moved on to the next one.
I am really happy with how this turned out. I love how it doesnât really feel like stop motion. I might do some more of this in the future.
After reading âThe Name on my Coffee Cupâ, I was struck with the idea of how invisibly racist our society is. We are submersed in a culture that white washes everything and it seems impossible to escape, almost as if we were drowning in it. Thatâs when I came up with the idea of people drowning in a coffee cup. The cup is a metaphor for the Western world we live in; the vessel of racism and discrimination, the vessel of coffee. These geometric and colourful characters are sinking in a cruel and unfair civilization who feel sympathy for these individuals, not unlike the edited face of the Starbucks logo and yet do nothing about it.
My Data Visualisation project on my daily activities. This data was collected over 3 months and taught me a lot about my habits and lifestyle. I learnt about myself which was super cool for me.Â

Public Humiliation
While the illustrations are beautiful in themselves, I donât really think it encompuses the whole idea. On the surface this story seems like itâs just people posting things on Twitter in the wrong place at the wrong time, but underneath it is more about the human condition. In some sense I think it takes away from the story because as the audience reads on that discover it is not just talking about Twitter. Our society is geared toward hate and embarrassment and now It can be done on a completely global and public  scale. I recently watched a TED talk from Monica Lewinsky and she explained how she was one of the first people to experience this new kind of global judgement. The Illustrator, Andrew B. Myers uses bold colours, geometric shapes and strong metaphors in his creations.Â
This infographic is simple and super effective in portraying very basic information in an interesting way. This image depicts the Pantone Colour of the year from 2000 to 2014. She includes colour names, Hex codes and the year they reached the top spot all in a very successful way. To help guide the eye though the information she used a wave in the stem of a flower and at the top of the image you can see all of the top colours in the petals of said flower. Â
I found this little beauty on Pinterest, but the author was even kind enough to do all my citations for me at the bottom of the image. After going to the website linked to the email I found a disclaimer that said this could be shared anywhere and everywhere as long as the credit information at the bottom was not cropped off. I think this is a wonderful way of maintaining credit in a world with copyright laws that donât really work anymore. Â

As painstaking as this project was this was my favourite part. I loved drawing this lovely lady. In earlier renditions she looked like Belle, but Iâm very happy with this final result. This project was my first time really using a drawing tablet and Iâm actually quite proud of myself.
This Lethbridge sunset turned into an entirely different galaxy. I was partnered with Josh Wong and would love to do this exercise again. My theme was space. I think it came out pretty well for me.Â
May I introduce to you my beautiful roommate Crystal!

While in the Cove, my group worked with three point lighting and then decided we wanted to experiment. We played with different coloured lights, bouncing light and weird angles to broaden our understanding and experience. My personal favourite was using one close direct light, placing the tripod in front of it and shooting the image "Selfie Style". This feels very natural, modern, approachable and most importantly personable to me. These are all qualities I strive to put forward to a client and in every day to day life. The camera is angled so it is level with me helping to communicate that we are equals.Â
In this image blemishes were fixed up with the Spot Healing Tool as well as fixing the brightness, levels and curves. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.Â
The use of depth of field in this picture makes it very clear that the brown necklace is the subject in focus. That's exactly what DoF is for, depending on how it is used different objects can be in focus and that can change the entire meaning of the photo.
