Wolfwood will be filling the space of our wonderful Ryland Grace, and there are quite a few story tweaks that'll need to happen to make it work. Ryland Grace is very much a charming and dorky intellectual, and while Wolfwood can be quite charming and quite dorky, he's not exactly a biologist. I'll get to have a lot of fun making little tweaks to both him and to PHM to make it fit!

And of course, Vash is already pretty much an alien. Lets make him a little bit more alien! Rather than a rock monster, Eridian Vash is going to be a small, skittering, feathered thing, not quite like Rocky in appearance but definitely in behavior and tone! There are plenty of artists who already love to draw Vash as a weird little skritter (dubbed 'Creature Vash' by the fanbase) so art by people like julynoahth and krematic (both on Twitter) are serving as my inspiration.

It'll pretty heavily follow the movie's general plot beats, but with these two playing the main characters instead. I haven't completely decided how much I want to change and add my own flair on, but I have a few more out-there ideas for things I'll probably tweak. I do already have a teeny little blurb for this AU written though (almost more like a proof of concept), so it may go up on here sooner rather than later.

I have other fics in the pipeline too, mostly more X Reader stuff that should hopefully see the light of day some day soon! It's been so nice actually enjoying writing again, and I can't wait to share more with you all.

• As extroverted as he can be, he keeps very few people around. Long term friendships and commitments are not his forte. This probably stems from his cynicism and overall trust issues. His only truly close friends were his deceased band mates. • horror is his biggest weakness. Anything that is somewhat uncanny makes his nervous system disheveled. After any encounters with such, he’d like to have someone by his side—anyone, as long as it’s not knives.

• If he would play a sport, I think he’d enjoy tennis. He would love the sound and the rhythm of a tennis game. For winter sports, he would enjoy figure skating. The feeling of sailing through the ice and dancing to a song … ajksksskd he’d love it

• he would be a collector of all sorts, especially cds and vinyls. Even a receipt would be a part of his collection. He had a little nook of his stuff at home, and after he left to join knives, he kept random trinkets inside the inner pockets of his suit.

•midvalley prefers cats over dogs, but not by a stretch. As long as they aren’t insanely messy and wayyy too energetic, then he’d enjoy owning either.

• he sucks at finishing books. He’d read a book he would enjoy, but would forget to pick it back up after a reading session. • he also sucks at preparing and planning. usually he just wings whatever he has to do that, for example distracting an enemy by pretending to be someone important to said enemy.
