XD When people comment how C3 is so much worse than C2, the need to comment "Haha funny how it works? I mean, I find C2 a slog and the characters more irritating!" just to prove they're not above it.
Because I think the C2 campaign and characters are quality and I love that C2 fans love them! It's just not my cup of tea. C3's tighter plot and tighter party compel me more, personally.
I'd love if C3 haters would understand that their hate isn't objectively correct. CR probably wouldn't be as fun, for us or the cast, if they did the same thing every single time.
It's literally so fucking rich of Liliana Temult to go on about Kings and Oppressors in relation to Exandrias Gods (who do not actively rule anything in Exandria and haven't for millennia - that's not to say that religious groups have no power, but that's a societal level issue that can and should be dealt with on the ground separately to this) whilst actively working with 5 people who have been single-handedly conquering and ruling and enslaving an entire world and multiple civilizations for 500 years and whom we know are implanting members of their citizenry with bio-mechanical implants to allow them to literally use their minds as their own personal surveillance unit
And who serve an entity who has been utilizing it's power to brainwash an entire population (possibly including them) into helping it 'wake up' because Maybe MAYBE they might actually get to see the pretty blue planet they've been seeing in their dreams and taste strawberries and not be eaten by Bane worms.
She wants to talk about the Gods like Predathos isn't just a God by another name and it's like... Okay you'd get rid of the Gods but... This is worse, you see how it's Worse right???

And let's just say for the sake of argument that everything as far as she seems to have planned in her head goes exactly as she believes it will: Predathos is set free and it doesn't cost the lives of any of the ruidisborn or Ruidians, they take everyone on Ruidis off it and get them to Exandria, rather than fight and cause another cataclysmic event the Gods just book it to protect humanity along with themselves and Predathos goes chasing after them and nothing happens to anyone on the planet.
What are you left with? Well, all divine magic is down so all your clerics and paladins many of whom are very useful members of society are now defunct. You have an entire population from Ruidis just dumped into the middle of what is already fucking chaos. Beings sealed by divine power if they weren't already are definitely free now. Nothing is stopping things from other dimensions from now getting in and wreaking havoc.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that a large percentage of the population of the planet that just had it's entire belief system dismantled OVERNIGHT and now have a bunch of very big very bad shit attacking, whilst they're down a huge proportion of people who would normally help to fight the big bad shit, are going to be looking for someone to blame and OH LOOK they just so happen to have arrived on our doorstep. People being, of course, highly rational creatures who would never blame an entire population for the actions of their government. And also OH LOOK they are now also fucking powerless because Predathos has also fucked off and taken it's 'divine' gaze with it.
And oh yeah, Ludinus, a 1000s years old incredibly powerful elf wizard who doesn't rely on divine magic just ousted a rather large percentage of anyone who could prevent him from attaining absolute power, and probably gained even more power as some exchange for freeing Predathos. Arrives back to a world in shambles and probably fighting amongst itself. He's definitely not going to take advantage of that. Like he just doesn't seem the type of person to play on peoples fears and prejudices and dreams in order to convince them to follow Him to achieve His vision of His Brighter Future.
But I guess on the off-chance he DOES try to do that, not to worry Liliana, I'm so sure that you with now 0 powers (because that's the aim right, to be free of it?) could DEFINITELY talk him off the ledge.
