Daddy’s little girl

your daughter was jude’s twin.

not only she had his eyes but she had his same attitude.

they were practically inseparable. from the day she was born jude felt super overprotective over her, she was his little bundle of joy and he would do anything to protect her.

but due to his work, many nights he couldn’t be home to hold her and she missed those moments so much. she wanted to have daddy to read her a story before bed and she wanted to have him close to her until she fell asleep.

“you should probably go and see her” you said smiling to jude the moment he got home from practice “she couldn’t stop talking about you…she missed you a lot”

“and you? did you miss me?” he joked qbout it, wrapping his hands around your waist and leaving soft kisses on your neck.

“i did miss you…a lot” you turned around to look him in the eyes.

before you could initiate something very inappropriate your daughter came running -and most of the time stumbling on the floor - when she heard jude’s voice.

“daddy!” she screamed.

“hey princess” he knelt down to pick her up “i missed you a lot baby girl” he kissed her cheek.

“missed you…” she whispered into his neck “ i don’t like when you’re away…”

“i know baby…but it’s my job”

“well…then i don’t like your job” she fiercely said.

that made you laugh, especially after seeing jude’s look who pretended to be offended.

“no no princess, my job is the best one in the world…you’ll get it when you’ll grow up…” he whispered to her with a smirk on his face.

“can you take me to bed?” she asked him as if it was something that needed to be asked to. it was a routine ; jude came back from practice, he would take your daughter to bed, he would take a walk a quick shower and then he would have dinner with you and spend the rest of the night between your arms - or between your legs, it depended on which mood he was that day.

“alright…let’s go to bed princess” he said carrying her to the bedroom.

once she was fully tucked in, with her comfortable blankets and all of her plushies around her he would lay next to her and he would start reading some stories.

sometimes he would read some of her books, sometimes he would talk to her about his days or about the games he had that day.

but tonight something was wrong and he could feel it from the way she wasn’t focused on anything he was saying.

“hey baby girl is everything okay?” he asked her.

“i missed you…” she said almost in a whisper. he could tell she was going to cry so he immediately held her.

“i know baby…i missed you too princess, i missed you more than mommy…” he joked and she laughed a bit “i know that my work takes most of my time but i promise you that even when i’m not here, you’re always the first one in my thoughts…i love you so much baby girl” he kissed her forehead.

“i love you too daddy…” she yawned.

“now, it’s time for you to sleep babygirl…”

“can you stay here?” she asked.

“of course, i’m not leaving” he smiled to her and she curled up next to him as his finger when immediately into her hair.

once she fell asleep he silently walked out from her bedroom only to find you next to your daughter’s bedroom.

“you missed her more than mommy uh?” you said smirking and leaving to your shared bedroom “if you’ll be here in five seconds i’ll make you change your mind” you joked again but immediately laughed when you saw jude running towards the bedroom.
