mildly bc i kinda skipped a majority of it. i just didn't find the inital story compelling to actually pay attention. well, egg on my face now. bc i as pleasantly surprised to see magnai again on the final quest of that chain.

anyway, to what a ACTUALLY matters.

this ninja dude is sneaking around and making himself look like other people in an attempt to kill the wol, or something like that. well, he disguised himself as sadu. and proceeded to convince that she (sadu) was his nhaama. the ninja guy was trying to get magnai to do the dirty work to killing your character.

well, while he was suspicious at first and gets real flustered about it. but ultimately accepts it. however, when he (guy pretending to be sadu) tells magnai to kill them, magnai is like , "but they're the khan. i can't!"

then sadu whacks him unconscious with her staff.

i'm getting my day shifts back.

living in a shed has been scrapped in favor of joint buying a house. (which is a far better ideal imo)

firstly, i just wanted to state that i don't have a lot of knoledge for korean history or any real knowledge on kpop or the music industry in general. i've been doing a lot of reading on both to both inform myself and to find ideas. but anyway, i got a rough au verse for both seph and cloud. these are just brief summaries of what i got.

for seph--- he's a child star, basically. known since he was at least fourteen doing various small-time commercial stuff. then has his breakout debute as a fulltime artist in his early twenties.

his image is fairly clean and sterile, heavily curated to fit a formula. preforming what he was given, which was most likely very heteronormative romantic ballads for the ladies. just things he really wasn't passionate about personally.

eventually, however, at the height of his career, he gets into a scandal. caught kissin' boys. it causes his image to tank and he goes mia for a time. in that time he's seduced by the voice of gwi-ma, theb being turned into a demon.

after a handful of years being mia, he returns to the scene as a completely different type of performer. its darker and more seductive. he embraces what "ruined" his reputation, becoming a rather controversial artist to be associated with. but he gains a heathy enough following that he's easily bringing souls to the demon realm.

for cloud--- cloud was born to a long line of shaman women. he's deeply entrenched in that life. all too familiar with fighting demons and keeping people safe through not just combat, but dance and song. however, he breaks the mold a little with being trans. but he keeps it secret, basically living a double life.

by day he's the polite and dutiful daughter he's supposed to be. but at night, he's who he wants to be. a demon hunter.

he's not really on the singing side, but the dancing side. usually with his face covered, he does street performances. not really intending to be overly noticed, but he does become commonly known. helping in his way to protect the souls of the living.

being on the streets also makes it far easier to break away and deal with demons that get loose. his weapon is based off a ssang soo do, a blade visually similar to a katana in shape but very much korean in make. but perhaps due to his massive attitude problem, his sparkling magical blade is much wider an an actual ssang soo do blade.

i was thinking about my greek gods for a hot minute. bc i really need to write out their verse page, since its like, THE one shared verse that i have for so many muses.

but anyway, highlights of what i was thinking about. them having different forms depending on what realm they're in. they have human forms for the mortal realm, then have their god form on olympus.

well, less full-on forms and more like they all dress a certain way. and they glow ethereally. they have a sort of glamour they enforce when they're acting as proper gods. anyway, the idea i'm rolling with...

they all wear masks and their masks are generally in the form of an animal that's linked to them. or just something heavily associated with them. along with an assigned color. so as an example... dionysus is purple and he wears a leopard mask. he dresses in deep purple robes for his color, and maybe even in the skins of his chosen animal.

For weeks Reno would whine and complain about his new obsession and said obsession ignoring him to anyone and everyone. To the point where everyone was sick of him. But he couldn't really help it. There was just something about that dark-haired recluse that drew him in.

So when he received a rather unexpected text, he almost didn't believe it.

When it came to remodeling parts of the old Han house, one of the first things done was the bathroom. Getting a much larger sunken wooden tub that could fit Sephiroth's gargantuan size. But the real treat for him was slipping inside the steamy room to spot Jae already in the bath with so much empty space around him.

saw a post about seph being a sickly child and it reaffirmed by headcanon about it. bc i also firmly believe he was a sickly child in his earliest years. due to his hybrid genetics. he's not entirely human and very much likely had needs that no one was aware of. what those needs are specifically, i'm not sure. or it could be more like his human side fought with his alien side, causing an immune deficency.

he'd probably be a really colic-y baby. always crying and unable to express his discomfort.

which leads into a related headcanon. that seph was basically a normal baby at birth. besides the eyes and hair, he really didn't stand out. all supernatural stuff came later and were enhancements. matter of fact, if seph was never made into a super soldier, i believe he'd be this scrawny little nerd. he'd still be weird with strange quirks, due to his differing genetics.

and then that leads into my next thought...

seph being forced to expose himself to allergens and illnesses in an attempt to make him immune to it. making him even more sick for a little while until he does become immune to it. its miserable and he wishes for death most days, but eventually he gets stronger and stronger. to the point that he just no longer gets sick. forgets what its like to be sick.

i know, it sounds weird. but its also kind of thrilling.
