I was helping a friend out earlier but then realized I could also share a few small tips on how to shop for groceries on a budget with u guys too!

Also to mention:

You can find bags of rice for 99¢ and also usually LENTILS!

You just boil those! And adding seasoning/salt/butter while they boil makes all the difference and its a very CHEAP AND FILLING meal that I have lived off of for a while!!

Chicken is also (usually) a very cheap meat that you can slow cook/bake/broil with lots of flavor and then throw in to even cheaper things, like cup ramen to up the nutritional value (and yumminess) of the meal! You can also then save the left over chicken and make chicken salad/soup!

Also you have NO IDEA how flavorful a veggie can get after its roasted! Beets, while more expensive, are VERY good for you and are sooo delicious when roasted with salt pepper and garlic and a little olive oil! Cheaper alternative can be yams, equally delicious!

I can tell you from experience that eating fresh vegetables lentils and rice is probably the cheapest and most sustainable diet to have while on a strict budget!

LENTILS! RICE! ROASTED ROOT VEGGIES! EAT EM!!!

Use the Walgreens Brand which is pretty cheap and it does wonders and doesn’t leave me with a white cast. And I’m dark as hell so I hate looking ashy but not all sunscreens are made equally and it’s one of the better ones I’ve used.

Yea fam. All that “we don’t need sunscreen” shit is a myth. Combine that with the fact that most dermatologists don’t know how to spot skin cancer in Black people and it’s a nasty combination.

Korean and Japanese sunscreens are also a great option for deeper skin tones! Their formulas are way more sophisticated that most US sunscreens, don’t feel greasy, and most don’t leave a white cast. Biore Aqua watery essence and Purito Centella green level sunscreen are especially nice and not crazy expensive
