First of all can I just say how amazing it is to see a character that so perfectly fits my type. How did you know I love jesters, king Baldwin, horror, and weird little freaks? Truly no one does it like Jestyn 🩷. Anyway, onto my actual questions.
1: Have you ever watched the movie Kingdom of heaven? It features king Baldwin and it's one of my all time favs. Maybe you'll like it.
2. I think I remember reading that Butley likes to make little dolls in another ask. Does that mean he made the ones Jestyn gives us? Did Jestyn steal them?? 🤔
3. When it comes to the MC's duties as the ruler, is it mostly just pretend, like the scenarios with the farmer and the trade offer from another kingdom? Or will the MC be expected to at some point make the lives of everyone living at the theatre better than before and the "make believe" was just a prelude to that?
4. If it was just pretend, how would Jestyn react to an MC that takes it all waaaaay too seriously? Like asking to know the state of the kingdoms Treasury or demanding to see a map of the area which is to be sold or wondering how much of the kingdoms economic exports are composed of agriculture.😂

No I haven’t watched it yeeeet. But Sohan told me about the movie, and maybe if I have time, I’ll try watching it.
Yeah, Butley was the one who made those two dolls.
It was all just an act. But Jestyn really did expect MC to make the puppets’ lives better. With the test he gave, he wanted to know whether you would at least care, IF you were a ruler.
Jestyn thinks it’s funny and cute, so he would just play along with it.

I feel like there's a sharp contrast between how Pierrot acts in the game (all the spicy stuff he said to MC in their sleep) and how he answers to the creator's AMA's. Is he double faced or does he act innocent and clueless on purpose and is actually no better than Harleyquin about his intentions ?

The fact that he gives you a bloody rose while actively bleeding, the fact that he kills that karen for you THINKING you'll like it? The fact that you can accidentally roofie yourself by eating the circus food and he's like: "oh....right.....we have that ...."---day2 MC asks him to explain and he's like ">_>"
He's a silly, just a dangerous silly.
But trust me, you can see his silliness in the game just as you can see how dangerous he is in the AMAs (he's been PLENTY threatening in the AMAs).
He just has two sides of himself, he's not using us or anything. For example: I have a version of myself when I'm with my family, as opposed to when I'm at work or with my friends. Same idea.
To MC, he tries to show the more positive aspects of his personality (just as we all do on a first date), while hiding the more negative/obsessive qualities at night while we sleep.
It’s almost like he desperately doesn’t want the MC to be scared of him or something… :3c
Those are good points, some people still haven’t noticed a few things about Pierrot haha! He may be a little naive about some things, but not in the way you all imagine. Still, he’ll always try not to scare you guys.

Not that anybody asked, but I think it's important to understand how shame and guilt actually work before you try to use it for good.
It's a necessary emotion. There are reasons we have it. It makes everything so. much. worse. when you use it wrong.
Shame and guilt are DE-motivators. They are meant to stop behavior, not promote it. You cannot, ever, in any meaningful way, guilt someone into doing good. You can only shame them into not doing bad.
Let's say you're a parent and your kid is having issues.
Swearing in class? Shame could work. You want them to stop it. Keep it in proportion*, and it might help. *(KEEP IT IN PROPORTION!!!)
Not doing their homework? NO! STOP! NO NOT DO THAT! EVER! EVER! EVER! You want them to start to do their homework. Shaming them will have to opposite effect! You have demotivated them! They will double down on NOT doing it. Not because they are being oppositional, but because that's what shame does!
You can't guilt people into building better habits, being more successful, or getting more involved. That requires encouragement. You need to motivate for that stuff!
If you want it in a simple phrase:
You can shame someone out of being a bad person, but you can't shame them into being a good person.
