Traveling and Training!

“Ooh… Let’s see…” Logan ignored Keye’s other question for a moment as he glanced over the board. “Steamed Chocolate MooMoo milk sounds great. I guess I’ll get that.”

He looked away from the board and back to Keye. “Yeah, Kaitie’s all hooked up back to my ‘caster.”

The holocaster buzzed then with a new message, and Logan held it up for Keye to see.

[HELLO KEYE IT IS NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN IS GIGS AROUND???!! (｡♥‿♥｡)]

Keye nodded as the barista took their order, and him and Logan stood off to the side. “Ah, naice naice, n’ Yeah. I still have Gigs ‘round. I don’t go anywhere without him.” Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his own caster, showing it to Kaitie. If she could see out of it. He just kind of assumed she could, since Gig often used the camera to snoop around as well. [IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME! :D IT IS VERY GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN.]

[IT IS NICE TO HAVE ANOTHER DIGITAL FRIEND AROUND AGAIN! o(^∀^*)o]

Logan noticed that their digital conversation was going to quickly overwhelm his caster, and so turned the device to silent and placed it back in his pocket. Kaitie and Gigs could text to their hearts content from there.

Logan chewed as he thought about the question, swallowing before answering. “Well, maybe? I guess if you caught a few and battled them it might work? But wild Pokemon are, well, in the wild. Plus, beating up on the same Pokemon over and over again could make those captured pretty angry. The general idea is to find a few out in the wild, fight for a few hours, and then go find some Trainers to test yourself against. Battling wild Pokemon can be good experience, but its only against another Trainer with a team similar to yours that you can get the most out of it, y’know?”

He hoped he was making sense, and took another bite of his snack. “That said, you could always spar against my team if you wanted. We wouldn’t go all out for sure, just let your Popplio go all out on us and… Er, I don’t know how to explain it. Try to teach him! Basically. Is what I’m trying  to say.”

Logan took another bite of his malasada to let Daisuke answer.

Daisuke nodded. So training against wild pokemon was definitely not as effective as…what he was already doing. On one hand, he wasn’t surprised…on the other, he kind of wanted Logan to advocate for it, anyway. Anything to discredit Hideki’s methods. Or…well, Logan did say ‘similar in strength’. The boy pulled a notepad and pen out of his pocket, mindlessly repeating some of Logan’s words as he wrote them down.

At the other’s offer to help him train, Daisuke blinked. “Y-You’ve already helped me so much, though…” He said. “Surely you have…other obligations…b-better obligations….than helping a kid that doesn’t know what he’s doing..?”

Logan half shrugged as he took another malasada, ripped it in half, and tossed half to Karok who was finishing his own. The Quilava eagerly dug in again as Logan replied.

“O-Oh…?” Logan said absently, glancing back up at the mistletoe and taking a purposeful two steps away from it. “Uh, yeah, yeah I took the challenge. Um, finished it too!”

He felt a little embarrassed now because he couldn’t remember if Vincent had mentioned her at all. At least not by name. No, wait, yeah, he remembered now. This was the girl he couldn’t decide was an annoyance or a friend. Or both. You know, maybe he didn’t know as much about her as he seemed to and should just keep quiet about it.

“Belated congratulations then~” The brunette chimed with a smile, though she wasn’t fond of how the Leagues seemed to dominate their world. Faye couldn’t help but suppress a giggle at his reactions towards the mistletoe, “By the way, I’m Faye, I don’t think I had said my name before.”

Had she? He didn’t remember. He opened his mouth to introduce himself before remembering he already had and then closed it. Then stood there awkwardly for a moment, trying to think of how words worked again. Kisses were definitely not on his list of easiest introductions.
