My biggest concern is whether Emmerdale or any soap can be trusted with it long term, when sex and relationship drama is the bread and butter of the genre. I have no doubt that it would start well and they will have done all their research and will take great care but a year down the line? Two years down the line? Will they really commit to asexuality long term even if a new producer comes in with their own ideas and decides it’s time Liv had a love interest? They could end up doing more harm than good. This is something they have to 100% commit to and I just..soaps…you know?
