She tried to defend Israel by saying the people are just fighting back against Hamas. But when I said Hamas are only using violent actions to stop their country from being ethnically cleansed, she immediately backed down, and said she didn't know enough info at the moment. I said that was good, and that she should educate herself on the matter more.

And that's when I realized why my mom (along with many other people) chose the Zionist side - she didn't know the full scope of the event. She only thought about the Hamas and violence, not Palestine and it's people.

Knowing that plenty of people are also only thinking about this small part of a much larger matter, just like my mother, really terrifies me. I urge everyone to learn more about what's going on. This isn't a conflict or a war. It's a genocide on Palestine from Israel. Please learn more about the two countries histories, along with other genocides and ethnic cleanings that have happened, both old and recent.
