i hate how some people in the dating scene treat aspecs like these.. challenges to be conquered. "oh you're ace but like, you're one of the ones that still has sex right? one of the cool ones??" genuinely go fuck yourself. i wish just "nonsexual" was a common identity label instead sometimes because at this point it's like i have to fill in dots for my specific brand of ace, which is okay but like!! i don't want to fuck you. i'm never going to want to fuck you. not if you're nice to me, not if i love you, not for anything in the world. i want friends, and i want to hold hands, and sometimes i want hugs or maybe a headpat. a "lover" to me would just be a best friend that prefers those small intimacies. i'll still let you take me to dinner because free food is free food but if i see a little square come out of your wallet and it's NOT a parmesan cheese packet then i can and will throw you into New River Gorge
