Brief Overview of My Paracosms and Paras

My daydreams and paras have changed many times over the years depending on what my hyperfocuses are at the time. So, I have multiple Paracosms, with multiple different AUs within them.

Transcendent - This blog's namesake, though it is not currently my main Paracosm. A punk band made up of five trans members. Miché Valentino - Parame Singer, Songwriter, Pianist. Ashley Nolans - Paraship. Backing Vocalist, Leading Guitarist, Producer. Nikki Archer - Bass Guitarist, Composure. Lex Woods - Rhythm Guitarist, Violinist.

The Lost Ones - When two aliens come to Earth, they upset the balance of the cosmos and the King and Queen Deities by managing to find the one person meant to be hidden. Does not have a Parame. Alexandria Lee - A College student majoring in Dance. Ashe Leroy - Alien Prince rebelling from his cruel parents. Feliks Bellator - The Prince's servant that came with him.

Marvel; Of Shadows and Superheroes - The Avengers: A team of extraordinary individuals, with either superpowers or other special characteristics. Shadow Aegis, also known as Melanie Maver, is a superhero with the ability to manipulate shadows.

Queen of the Kings - Set in an worldwide Golden Age, filled with opulence and effective government looking out for the people.

Princess Catalina de Bailyfest i Castany.

Eldest child of Princess Luzia of Ahozar and Prince Louis of Ociranya, they are 2nd in line for the Ahozar throne, following their mother and proceeding their younger sister Princess Petronilla. As the first born grandchild of Queen María of Ahozar, they were given the customary title Excelestísima Primera Doña, translating to The Most Excellent First Girl. Princess Catalina has said that, despite coming out as nonbinary, wishes to keep their feminine titles. They attended public school in Ahozar, the first Ahozaran and Ociranyna royal to do so, from 2003 to 2017. They also graduated from college in 2021 with a Bachelor's in History. In 2022, they returned for their Master's and graduated in 2025.

Political tensions between Ahozar and Ross still remain, with Ross citing issues with colonization and Ahozar listing problems from the war. Catalina acknowledges the difficulties both countries have caused each other, and hopes steps can be made to heal and to move forward. Catalina's friendship with Lady Oonagh of Ross has softened the tensions in recent years.

Catalina is affectionately called Ice Princess due to the ice storm that hit Ahozar on the day of their birth.

ℝ𝕖𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕡𝕤

Mother: Princess Luzia of Ahozar. Her Royal Highness is the heir presumptive to the throne, her older brother being King Ferdinand VIII. It's known within the court of Ahozar that Luzia will succeed her brother, as King Ferdinand and Queen Estella are unable to have children. Their relationship is positive, if not a bit strained, due to the pressure of being Luzia's heir. Luzia taught Catalina many skills required to be royalty in this day and age.

Father: Prince Louis of Ociranya. His Royal Highness is the youngest cousin of Queen Charlotte of Ociranya. He is 5th in line for the Ociranya throne, his siblings all ahead of him, including his oldest brother, Prince Charles, the current heir presumptive. Their relationship is lax and more harmonious, Louis encouraging Catalina to be an individual and form hobbies outside of the monarchy.

Sister: Princess Petronilla of Ahozar. Her Royal Highness is 3rd in line for the Ahozar throne. She has a passion for art and is a major patron of art programs in Ahozar. Catalina and Petronilla often go to the theater together.

Uncle: King Ferdinand VIII. His Majesty, King of Ahozar, ascended the throne upon his mother, Queen María's death on 13 October 2025. Ferdinand has taught Catalina many life skills necessary, like negotiation, communication, diplomacy, empathy, and humility.

Aunt: Queen Consort of Ahozar, Estella Rengel. Her Majesty became queen consort on 13 October 2025 upon her husband's accession as Ferdinand VIII, following the death of Queen María. Estella is a role model to Catalina with her elegance and charm, yet down-to-earth attitude that has endeared her to the people of Ahozar.

Distant Cousin/Friend: Lady Oonagh de Trosflumara y Tsléibhe. 4th in line to the Ross throne, following their cousins, Prince Miguel and Infanta Miriam, and her father Infante Alfonso. Befriending each other at a young age at a Ociranyan state event, Oonagh and Catalina's friendship have helped smooth tensions between Ross and Ahozar.

Set in an worldwide Golden Age, filled with opulence and effective government looking out for the people. Things like corruption and greed are extreme rarities. War is basically nonexistent at this point in time as there is a global peace for the last 15 years.

You may notice there are many similarities in the history of this world and ours, but with different outcomes or different orders. I am a huge history fan so I was often inspired by what I would learn about.

Kingdom of Ahozar [ah-uh-sor]

Formerly the Empire of Ahozar. Through conquest and the marriage of Emperor Juan III of Ahozar and princess and heir of the Kingdom of Ross María-Luzía, the Empire of Ahozar annexed the Kingdom of Ross in 1653. In 1927, civil war broke out in Ahozar, overthrowing Emperor Jaime II and establishing José Barbero as a dictator from 1937 to 1967. José led Ahozar into war with neighboring country Wedtad in 1940. Tired of fighting José's war, the citizens stated another civil war in 1942, siding with Wedtad. In 1944 when Wedtad won the war, the Kingdom of Ahozar was established, leaving the providence of Ross under José. Jaime III's oldest son sided with José, so the people of Ahozar skipped him to crown the younger son as King Ferdinand VII. Ahozar set a succession law that anyone who sided with José or the idea of a unified Ahozar would be barred from the throne, including King Ferdinand VII's eldest kids, leaving María to inherent the crown in 1975. Kingdom of Ross [raws]

Through conquest and the marriage of Emperor Juan III of Ahozar and princess and heir of the Kingdom of Ross María-Luzía, the Empire of Ahozar annexed the Kingdom of Ross in 1653. In 1927, civil war broke out in Ahozar, overthrowing Emperor Jaime II and establishing José Barbero as a dictator from 1937 to 1967. In 1944, Ahozar and Ross separated following another civil war. Ahozar set laws in place so that Ross could not merge back with Ahozar, including barring royals' who sided with José from the thrown. When José passed away in 1967, Ross also did not want to unify with Ahozar. They established the Kingdom of Ross and crowned who they saw as the true heir, Jaime II's oldest male-line descendant, Felipe VII. Current Monarch - King Carlos Heir Apparent - Prince Miguel

Ociranya Empire [aa-kee-ray-nyuh]

In the early centuries of Ociranya, the authority of the king was more religious than administrative, making it a very decentralised state. The first 12 kings of Ociranya were elected by High Lords of Ociranya. By the 15th century however, King Robert established absolute sovereignty. The first half of 16th century was marked with religious wars. This is in part due to the Eskotzia crown merging with the crown of Ociranya in 1505 upon the death of Queen Margaret of Ociranya, and her sucessor was her distant cousin King George I of Eskotzia. Eskotzia and Ociranya, though under the same monarch since Queen Margaret's death in 1505, remained separate states with separate parliaments until the Acts of Union of 1737 united Ociranya and Eskotzia into the Ociranya Empire. King George III continued his predecessors' work of creating a centralized state, sought to eliminate remnants of feudalism in Ociranya during his rule from 1642 to 1667. His nephew and successor King William Ied many military campaigns across the continent and expanded Ociranya territory, making it the largest and most powerful Kingdom at the time, though throughout time this power would ebb and flow between the Empire of Ahozar, Wedtad, Russcovye and Espya over the next few centuries. In 1707, the Emperor Henry IX converted religions to Delacism, which caused some tensions, but the people of Ociranya were willing to look over this as his eldest daughter was still a follower of the Moisaw religion. Yet when Henry IX had a son, pushing Princess Sophia down the line of succession, the people revolted in favor of Sophia. The Sophian Revolution succeeds, and Queen Sophia became one of Ociranya's most beloved rulers, ruling the Empire from 1727 to 1743. A few rebellions in favor of Henry IX's Delacist son also named Henry called the Halleist Rebellions popped up from 1727 to 1786, but didn't go anywhere until much later. After Eskotzia threatened to leave, Ociranya passed a law in 1734 unifiying Eskotiza and Ociranya into one political state. Queen Sophia's son George IV created the 1757 Act of Succession, further reaffirming the exclusion of Delacist and anyone married to a Delacist from the succession and requirement for the monarch to be Moisawist. Ociranya became a military power house in the 18th and 19th centuries, expanding the territory across the continent and beyond. In the 20th and 21st centuries, many revolutionary wars popped up throughout the Empire's land, reinstating various countries' independence and shrinking Ociranya's power. In 1970, sentiment for and Independent Esktozia grew. Ociranya tried to pacify them with a parliament. As a result, a referendum on Eskotzia’s independence was negotiated with the Ociranya Government. The poll was held in 1990 with the result being 57.1% of the votes being against independence The decision, in 1997, for the Ociranya Empire to go to war with Espya resulted in further calls for a second referendum of Esktozian Independence. In 2000, the Ociranya Parilament ruled that Eskotzia did not have the power to legislate for a second referendum. The war with Espya was put on pause on April 18 2001 in a cease-fire after King Qilliam VI of Eskotzia died from a stress related heart-attack. The queen, Yekaterina Mikhailovna of Russcovye, was pregnant at the time. On May 30th, 2001, Dorothea Charlotte Maria Wilhelmina was born, instantly declared Queen Charlotte upon birth. The Eskotzia Independent Army formed in 2002 and began to fight for independence. The EIA chased Ociranya officials out of the capital on May 3rd, 2002. On May 10th, Ociranya took back the capital, killing 27 innocent citizens in the process, 3 of which were minors. Many Eskotzian citizens who sided with the Empire changed their mind after the event. On March 3rd, 2004, Espya joined the war, siding with Eskotzia. July 12, 2004 a ceasefre was called and negotiations were underway. An agreement was made, and October 1st, 2005 Eskotzia was granted independence. Current Monarch - Queen Charlotte Heir Pressumptive - Prince Charles

Eskotzia [ehs-koht-zee-ah]

In the Middle Ages, Eskotzia suffered from weak Kings and powerful nobles and for two centuries there were constant power struggles between the crown and barons. There was also issues with territory and border disputes with Ociranya. To combat this, King Cailean having his youngest daughter marry Ociranyan Prince Henry of Rudolton. Following ths, in 1505, Queen Margaret of Ociranya died without issue, her sucessor was her distant cousin King George I of Eskotzia. In 1707, the Emperor Henry IX converted religions to Delacism, which caused some tensions, but the people of Ociranya were willing to look over this as his eldest daughter was still a follower of the Moisaw religion. Eskotzia Parliament held a vote once more about independence, also with the question of if there should be a monarchy, and who should rule. 77% of votes were for independence, 87% were for a monarch, and 68% of votes were for Raghnaid. On March 3rd, 2004, Espya joined the war, siding with Eskotzia. July 12, 2004 a ceasefre was called and negotiations were underway. After Peter joins the Avengers post Age of Ultron, he finds out Shadow Aegis' secret identity, Melanie Maver, realizing they went to the same high school. They grow closer, especially after they start working together. Spider-Man and Shadow Aegis also team up with Deadpool, and over time, the playful banter, one-liners, and Wade's flirting lead to the three slowly coming together into a relationship

𝕋𝕚𝕞𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕖

This is going to be a mash-up of many of the movie series and comics as well as various other things <3

In 2005, in his senior year of high school, Peter is bitten by a spider after sneaking into a restricted laboratory at Oscorp, developing powers shortly after and becoming Spider-Man. His friend from school, Ned, discovers his identity and helps him out. Peter and Uncle Ben have an argument, and Peter flees the house. Ben goes out looking for him, and in the meantime tries to stop a thief that Peter let escape, but is shot and dies in Peter's arms. Peter uses his new powers to track down criminals that match the killers description, particularly the star-shaped tattoo on his wrist. At the same time, Norman Osburn takes a performance-enhancing chemical and subsequently becomes the Green Goblin.

The Green Goblin tries to get Spider-Man to work beside him, but Peter refuses and they fight, though Spider-Man flees after being injured. At Thanksgiving dinner right after this, Norman figures out Peter is Spider-Man based on his injury. Green Goblin then attacks Aunt May, and Peter realizes the Green Goblin knows his identity.

Green Goblin captures Peter's long-term crush, Mary Jane, and tries to make Peter choose between her and a bus full of children, but he manages to save both. Then, Green Goblin brings Peter into an abandoned building to fight, where Peter discovers that the Green Goblin has been Norman's alter ego. Norman begs for forgiveness while the Green Goblin prepares to kill Peter, though it backfires when Peter dodges the glider and it stabs Norman instead. Norman begs Peter not to tell his son, and Peter's long-term friend, Harry. Peter brings Harry's body back to the Osborn house and Harry sees him. Harry vows to take vengeance on Spider-Man. Mary Jane confesses to Peter, but he rejects her to keep her safe.

In 2007, Peter is struggling to balance multiple jobs, rent, college and Spider-Man duties, all while Aunt May may be evicted from her home. Meanwhile, Harry Osburn uses his position at OsCorp to fund Otto Octavius' fusion power machine. Octavius befriends and mentors Peter. Octavius wears a harness with powerful AI mechanical tentacles to interact with the machine during a demonstration. However, the fusion reaction destabilizes, but Otto refuses to cut the power. Before Peter has the chance to, the power surges kill Otto's wife, fuse the harness to his body, and destroys the inhibitor chip that restricts the AI of the tentacles. At the hospital, doctors try to remove the harness, but the tentacles kill the doctors and Octavius flees to an abandoned warehouse. The tentacles corrupt his mind and convince him that he has to rebuild the machine. Doc Ock robs a bank to fund his plan.

Completing his enhanced machine, Octavius confronts Harry and demands he give him tritium to fuel it. Harry agrees in to give it to him, if Doc Ock brings him Spider-Man, telling him he can use Peter to do so. Octavius kidnaps Mary Jane to get Peter to tell him where Spider-Man is. Spider-Man fights Octavius on top of a train. The passengers sees Peter's face, but vow to keep his identity secret, and try to protect him, yet Otto captures Peter and brings him to Harry.

Harry unmasks Spider-Man, and Peter persuades Harry to help him save Mary Jane. At Octavius' lair, the larger fusion reaction destabilizes once again and Spider-Man reveals his identity to Otto to get him to resist the AI's influence. Otto sacrifices himself to drown the machine in the water. Mary Jane now knows that Peter is Spider-Man, and he confesses that he loves her, yet he can not be with her for her safety. Mary Jane then marries John. Harry meanwhile sees a vision of his father Norman, who demands vengeance, but Harry breaks the mirror since he can't hurt Peter, which then reveals the Green Goblin equipment.

In 2009, Peter meets Gwen Stacy, another college student. Peter discovers his father's briefcase and learns from Aunt May that his father was friends with Dr. Curt Connors, a scientist at Oscorp, the same doctor who had engineered the spider that bit Peter years ago. Dr. Connors has an amputated arm and is working on limb regeneration.

Discovering that the missing piece of Connor's experiments in his his father's papers, the decay rate algorithm, Peter visits Connors, reveals that he is Richard's son, and gives Connors the algorithm. At a family dinner at Gwen's house, he discovers her father is the police captain George Stacy who holds a grudge against Spider-Man.

After having success with lab rats using lizard DNA, Connors administers the drug into himself. After passing out, Connors finds that his arm has regenerated. However, he turns into a humanoid lizard, and begins to attack people. Peter saves people from Connors' attack, but the police get it mixed up and issue a manhunt for both the Lizard and Spider-Man.

Peter tracks Connors to the sewers, but the Lizard attacks him so he flees, leaving behind his camera, which has his name on it, revealing his secret identity to Connors. Connors attacks Peter while at college. Chasing Connors, Peter discovers Connors' lab and learns he is planning to release a chemical agent that will turn everyone into reptilian hybrids like himself. The police corner Spider-Man, but when George Stacy discovers he is Peter, he lets him go so he can go stop Connors. Gwen Stacy creates an antidote and while George Stacy fights Connors, Peter can disperse the antidote and cure both Connors and his victims. George Stacy dies from his wounds, but before he does asks Peter to stay away from Gwen to keep her safe. He reluctantly keeps his promise.

In 2010, after Peter is freshly graduated, Tony Stark was abducted by people working for Obadiah Stane, subsequently escaping and becoming Iron Man. After revealing to the world that he is Iron Man, Tony is visited by Nick Fury to discuss the Avengers Initiative. During the discussion, S.H.I.E.L.D. inform Tony they know the identity of Spider-Man, yet do not consider him ready to join the Avengers just yet. Tony disagrees and invites Peter to work for Stark Industries "as an intern", but really it is to keep an eye on him. Peter continues keeping New York safe, being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, unaware of Tony and S.H.I.E.L.D. keeping tabs on him.

In 2012, after the death of Venessa, Deadpool moves to NYC, immediately popping up on Spider-Man's radar. Deadpool had known about Spider-Man for a while, a self-proclaimed Spidey Fanboy. Gwen Stacy returns home on vacation, being in England for her Masters Degree.

Meanwhile, Oscorp electrical engineer Max Dillon accidentally electrocutes himself and falls into a tank of genetically engineered electric eels, which mutate him into an electrokinetic being. Max wanders into Times Square, causing a power outage, and is stopped by Spider-Man, and Max is taken to the Ravencroft Institute. Oscorp Vice President frames Harry Osborn for covering up Max's accident to be able to usurp him. Harry's mental state had been decreasing since discovering Peter was Spider-Man years ago, but being kicked out of Oscorp was the final straw. Harry offers to help Max, now going by the name Electro, in exchange for helping him get revenge on Oscorp. Electro help Harry, now taking up the mantle of the Green Goblin like his father did, into Oscorp. He kills multiple people who voted on his removal from Oscorp.

Max causes another power outage, and Peter and Gwen restore power and end up overloading Max's body, killing him in the process. Harry, meanwhile, arrives and brings Gwen Stacy up to the top of a clock tower. He drops her, and Peter is able to subdue Harry, he is unable to save her. He feels guilty and falls into a depressive spiral, once again losing his powers for months.

During this time, Loki attacks NYC. Nick Fury had approached Peter, but Peter revealed that he was unable to use his powers at the moment, so he is not a member of the Avengers. Following the battle, a man named Adrian Toomes and his salvage company is contracted to clean up the city, but the DODC takes over the operation. Toomes convinces his team to keep the chitauri technology they already scavenged to use it to create and sell advanced weapons.

Crime in New York is rising again, and while Iron Man can take care of some things, he is unable to do it all. Deadpool, missing Spider-Man, decides to lure him out by doing Spider-Man's job but with Deadpool's morals. Deadpool kills criminals left and right, and due to the similarities in the suit, is misidentified as Spider-Man. Peter, who has begun making progress on healing from Gwen's death, suits up and confronts Deadpool in the street. Deadpool fanboys, and after fighting, Deadpool agrees to tune down the killing.

Spider-Man and Deadpool then make an unlikely duo. Deadpool continues to commit his own crimes, but acts on his best behaviour with Peter. Wade almost instantly reveals his identity to Spider-Man, but Spider-Man doesn't reveal who he is for many years, partially out of assuming Wade knew or would find a way to find out.

In 2014, Tony Stark reveals he knows who Peter is, and gives him an upgraded suit. Peter comes across Adrian Toomes' associates Jackson Brice and Herman Schultz selling weapons to Aaron Davis. Peter saves Davis and throws a tracker on Schultz before being caught by Toomes in his Vulture suit and being dropped into the lake. He nearly drowns after being tangled in a parachute built into his suit, not yet sure how to work with all the technology in said suit. He is save by Shadow Aegis. Shadow Aegis warns Spider-Man against getting involved with this alone.

Peter and his friend Ned study a weapon that Brice left behind, removing its power core. The tracking device on Schultz leads to Maryland, so Peter and Ned go to Maryland. Peter tries to stop Toomes from stealing weapons from a DODC truck but is trapped inside. He then discovers the power core from the weapon is an unstable Chitauri grenade, and he rushes to the Washington Monument, where Ned has the power core in an elevator, where it explodes and traps many citizens. Spider-Man saves them, which the news starts questioning why Spider-Man was in D.C. A few days later, back in NYC, while on a ferry, Peter captures Toomes's new buyer, but Toomes escapes and tears the ferry in half. Tony Stark comes to help save the passengers, but Tony confiscates Peter's high-tech suit for his reckless behavior with it.

Peter discovers Toomes is planning on hijacking a DODC plane transporting weapons from the Avengers Tower to the team's new headquarters in Upstate NY. Peter uses his old suit from college, whose web shooters are faulty and doesn't have shielding, and goes to Toomes' lair, where Toomes makes the building collapse on Peter and leaves him there to die. Peter, however, is able to use his superhuman strength to escape, intercept the plane, and crash it onto Coney Island. He manages to overpower Toomes and then save his life after the Vulture suit explodes. Stark gives Peter his suit back, though Peter then turns down the opportunity to join the Avengers.

Adorned in a black and gold outfit, Shadow Aegis embodies the mysteries of the night. The black of their cape seems to absorb light, casting a deep shadow around them. With the power to manipulate shadows, they can cloak allies in protective shadows or unleash tendrils of night to ensnare foes. Shadow Aegis wields their powers with a calm resolve, fiercely protecting those who wander in the dark.

𝕆𝕣𝕚𝕘𝕚𝕟

Born to Elouan Maver, wielder of Light Manipulation, and Aroa Rosi, who can Perceive the Future, Melanie Maver started showing powers as a baby as they would babble with their shadow, and the shadow would move move independently of them.

Melanie initially used their powers to make the lives of those around them easier, by doing things such as resolving arguments via empathy, stopping falls via levitation, preventing crimes via shadow manipulation, etc. Since joining the Avengers, they have retrieved invaluable information for S.H.I.E.L.D.

ℙ𝕠𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕤

𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨 𝕄𝕒𝕟𝕚𝕡𝕦𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 - The power to shape and manipulate shadows. Not all their powers require them to be in contact with the individual shadow to manipulate it. 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: Limited to manipulating only from already existing sources. Though their father having light manipulation means that he can warp light to create larger, harsher shadows.

𝔸𝕟𝕚𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕕 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨 - The power to bring shadows to life. Melanie Mavers' clone is always sentient, able to move independently of Melanie at any point, as well as communicate with them. 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: Having a mind of its own, Mavers and their shadow don't always agree.

𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨 ℍ𝕖𝕒𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘 - The ability to heal themselves and/or others by encasing the injury in shadows. 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: Limited to how much shadow is available; if there is not enough, then the wound can not fully heal.

𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨 ℂ𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕖 - The power to create clones of oneself or others out of shadows. If a clone of a being is made with that being's shadow, the clone can mimic their powers, though their thoughts and beliefs mirror Melanie's. 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: A limit on how many clones of an object can be formed based on the amount of shadows. Concentration is required to maintain copies, and once Melanie loses concentration or stamina, the clones disappear. Keeping the clones in existence drains energy from Melanie.

𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕕𝕠𝕨 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕖𝕥𝕥𝕖 - The ability to control the target's movements via shadows. 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: Only affect targets that are in touch with Melanie's shadow.

𝔼𝕞𝕡𝕒𝕥𝕙𝕪 - The power to perceive and interact with the emotions of others. In the case of Melanie Mavers, it is done via their shadow touching another's shadow. 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: Defenceless against beings that have no emotions, such as robots or users of Apathy. They can suffer from Sensory Overload due to absorbing too many emotions.

𝔽𝕠𝕣𝕔𝕖 𝔼𝕞𝕠𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 - The ability to induce emotions into other people's subconscious to affect their mental state. 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: Has the backlash of Melanie absorbing the emotion if they are removing it from someone's subconscious.

𝕍𝕚𝕤𝕦𝕒𝕝 𝕄𝕚𝕟𝕕 ℝ𝕖𝕒𝕕𝕚𝕟𝕘 - The power to see the thoughts of other people as images, allowing them not only to receive information from, but also can see it as if they had been present at these events. 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: Melanie requires their physical form to touch the subject's shadow; it can not be done via shadow-to-shadow contact. Users of Psychic Shield (highly resistant) and Psychic Immunity (impervious).

𝕃𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕥𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 - The power to make oneself or other subjects hover unassisted, allowing them to float into the air and prevent them from touching the ground below. In the case of Melanie, it is done by manipulating a shadow to levitate, forcing the physical object to mimic the shadow. (They can also manipulate shadows without forcing the physical object to levitate, just the levitation is a conscious choice Melanie had to learn and hone the skill of.) 𝙇𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨: May be disrupted by lack of concentration. It took a long term for Melanie to learn how to maneuver, and even longer to be able to use other powers while using Levitation.

𝕁𝕠𝕚𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔸𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕣𝕤

Much of this is taken from the Avengers movie Wikipedia, rewritten with the addition of Melanie.

In 2012, S.H.I.E.L.D. reactivates the "Avengers Initiative" due to Loki stealing the Tesseract. Agent Natasha Romanoff travels to recruit Dr. Bruce Banner, Fury approaches Steve Rogers, Agent Phil Coulson visits Tony Stark, and Agent Maria Hill makes an offer to Melanie Maver.

While Loki is imprisoned in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier, Melanie goes in to talk with him. While entertaining his poking and prodding, they manipulate Loki's shadow to be in reach, thinking he was none the wiser to Melanie reading his mind to figure out his past actions involving the Tesseract, Clint, and the Chitauri. However, Loki was expecting S.H.I.E.L.D. to use Melanie's Visual Mind Reading, as it was just one of Loki's decoys' shadows.

Loki's agents attack the Helicarrier, and Banner transforms into the Hulk in the chaos. Stark and Rogers restart the damaged engine while Thor and Melanie attempt to stop the Hulk's rampage. Romanoff subdues Barton, freeing him from Loki's control. Loki escapes after mortally wounding Coulson. Fury uses Coulson's subsequent death to motivate the Avengers to work together as a team. The team's shadows mix under the table during this, and Melanie is overwhelmed by the Empathy from everyone's grief.

Loki uses the Tesseract and a generator Selvig built to open a portal above Stark Tower in New York City, allowing his Chitauri fleet to invade.

Mavers, Rogers, Stark, Romanoff, Barton, Thor, and the Hulk work together to protect New York from the Chitauri. Melanie Mavers stays on the ground, using the shadows cast by the tall buildings to spear through the Chitauri's vehicles. They are also able to Marionette the Chitauri when their shadows pass over them, forcing them to crash into buildings or the ground.

The Hulk incapacitates Loki while Romanoff learns from Selvig, now freed from Loki's mind control, that Loki's scepter can shut down the generator.

Fury's superiors from the World Security Council attempt to end the invasion by launching a nuclear missile at Midtown Manhattan. Stark intercepts the missile and flies it toward the Chitauri fleet through the wormhole. The missile destroys the Chitauri mothership and disables their forces on Earth. Stark becomes unconscious, and his suit loses power, leaving him free-falling towards Earth. Hulk manages to catch, and Mavers uses their shadow healing to resuscitate him, while Romanoff uses Loki's scepter to close the wormhole.

𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕄𝕒𝔻𝔻𝕖𝕣'𝕤 ℂ𝕠𝕞𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕤

I originally had the idea of these powers for an Encanto-based para, but I didn't keep up with those daydreams, so I moved these to a Marvel paracosm, revamping my parames powers. Even though my Marvel paracosm is an older one (since 2012!) Melanie has only been my parame for a short period.

Melanie uses they/them pronouns if it's not obvious!

This is not the same universe as the MCU, though it does closely follow Phase 1 Marvel, it branches off from there. One major difference is Peter Parker is older, more like Into The Spiderverse Peter B. Parker.
