Every time I see someone insist that forcefem isn’t a “real thing that happens to people irl” while forcemasc is I just. Feel like I must live in an entirely different reality from them. Sorry I must’ve hallucinated all the media and movies aimed at “girls” that constantly reinforced the need to be pretty and feminine in order to be desirable. Must’ve just misinterpreted how most of the toys 50% of the population were expected to want to play with involved caring for babies and dressing up and wearing makeup and shopping. Clearly I was just being dramatic to think there was something deeply fucked up about how at every sleepover I went to as a child it became a project for the other girls to “fix” me via dolling me up like they were doing me a favor. But yeah, no one is ever forced into femininity. Sure.

there will never be a "right time" for you to transition. everyone around you will always be pressuring you not to transition for a wide variety of reasons. there will never come a day where you'll no longer have any excuses not to transition. if you keep waiting for it, you'll die without it ever coming. transition now. don't die wondering

also this is by no means every transmasc’s experience but i was 100% a cis girl before i was a transmasc. me being transmasc nb now does not negate my girlhood when i was younger. both can be true

like part of the point of “identity is fluid” is that me identifying one way now does not mean i was wrong or mistaken when i used to identify a different way. i was a girl. im now a man. both can be true
