They’d agreed on friends when Alex had come to collect the last of his things from George’s flat. George had been adamant about it, all uncomplicated smiles, like they hadn’t just spent six months living in each other’s pockets and having some of the most bizarrely intimate sex of Alex’s life.
And friends is a noble intention, but. Alex still only has one friend who’s sucked him off in their driver’s room.
Is Max to Maxiel authors the equivalent to what George is to Galex authors and that's why there's a lack of Max and George (let alone George/Max) appearances in fics together? :(
hmm i think it's more that max and george just don't have a ton of compelling backstory or interactions that have made people want to write about them so far? like, dynamics aside, there is fic for every pairing with significant history/interactions. i personally find lestappen fic to be nearly incomprehensible given the way that i think about and write about max in a maxiel context, but just because i don't write it certainly doesn't stop a TON of it from existing and people from writing that version(s) of max... even if galex-george and maxiel-max don't, like, line up naturally as a pairing because they sort of fulfill the same emotional role in their stories, that doesn't mean meorge (lmfao) won't get written all over the place the minute max and george start fighting for a championship and talking about each other in press conferences.

14. How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash?
George's kind of like painful sincerity (even when he's trying to joke around and be fun) and Alex's habitual ironic detachment imo would like balance each other out in the best scenarios and really clash in the worst ones -- ideally, Alex is able to help George put things into perspective and George can give Alex a kind of permission to care deeply (like I could see them talking after Alex lost the Red Bull seat and George's step-by-step planning for how to fix it being actually comforting to Alex in that moment). But it can also mean Alex making a flippant joke about something in a way that really hurts George, or like in the aftermath of a race where George podiums and Alex is stuck miserably in p17, Alex wanting to just move on and George irritatingly dwelling and offering like horrible platitudes.
17. Who's more likely to pull the other in by the waist and kiss them passionately?
Alex! George wants to so much that it feels like it would be too much to let himself do it--somehow like overly aggressive or forcing himself on Alex, because he still can't truly entirely deeply fathom Alex wanting it back just as much. Alex mostly does it as a joke, but he also likes the way it makes George go red and weak-kneed.
18. How likely are they to have fur babies? How many and what kind?
I think it would be so in character if George was very allergic to cats and suffered in silence through the first five years of living with Alex and whichever Albon pets were currently in Alex's household (rotating cast of 1-3). Then when Albon pet #3 passes away or goes back to live with Alex's mom or whatever, Alex notices George's perpetual nagging "cold" is gone and confronts him about it, and they have a huge fight (Alex is mostly mad at himself for not realizing but also at George for being such a self-sacrificing idiot but also, like, does George still not think Alex would pick him over a cat??) and then they never have a pet again after that. Sorry :(
