I was reading this article about asexuality and I felt bad about the person within that relationship cus sex is not about a little tickle in the bottom of my stomach that tells me "hey, sex would be really fun right now." Sex can mean "You are the one I trust," "I would prefer to spend time with you than most of my friends." Sex can mean "I love you." Sex can mean "You are the first person I think of when I want to be held, you are the first person I think of when I need someone." I know that sex doesn't mean these things to everyone but in all honesty, having sex with random people you don't trust, people you don't care for, people you don't love, that sex is fucking mediocre. That shit doesn't even compare to the idea of making love, be honest. To me, making love can mean that "it's okay for you to trust me, trust that I will be here for you." I get that it's a lil unrealistic to think that everytime you create the physical entity of love with someone, but that's what some of the best sex has said to me.
