Soooo, Liandrin and Moiraine absolutely, 100% used to smash, ammirite?!!!
I kinda love the idea of her being Moiraineâs jilted ex. Like, that whole conversation with Nynaeve last ep when she bitterly was like, ââŚand she chose the Blueâ like it was the worst betrayal to not go Red with her.
Like, maybe when they were Novices or Accepted she had a crush on Moiraine or maybe they even had a fling but obviously Moiraine loved Siuan the most so Liandrin got dumped twice over: once for Siuan and then again for the Blue Ajah.
And that caress she did of Moiraineâs face???? The way the actress played that scene like it was not only natural for her to want to caress Moiraine but she obviously was so hurt and bitter about it when Moiraine didnât respond favorably. OofâŚ
She is BIG mad that Moiraine isnât her lover anymore, bruh. Iâm fucking LOSING it.
I need about 200 more hours of this epic fantasy WLW melodrama injected directly into my veins, pls. Rafe, Iâm counting on you!!!
moiraineâs face looking at siuan đ
âYou are the only one, Moiraine, with whom I can remember who I was.â
- The Great Hunt, Chapter 4
"I am very athletic and my doctor says being vegan cannot sustain my active demanding lifestyle." Said every meat eating bullshitter ever..
My method of getting kids not to swear at camp was just to appeal to their sense of fairness.
Child: âFuck!â
Me: âHey! Iâm not allowed to swear in front of you guys. Itâs not fair if you swear in front of me, is it?â
Child: âI guess not⌠sorryâŚâ
Sometimes Iâd work with teenagers and facilitate activities like giant swing or zipline, which involve full-body harnesses that get Wildly Uncomfortable in the crotch areas. The younger kids didnât mind it, but those burdened by more of the wonderful gifts of puberty had some things to complain about.Â
And complain they would! I think 15 year old boys are contractually obligated to shout âTHIS HURTS MY BALLS!â at the top of their lungs every time theyâre in a harness. To combat this, Iâd warn them about the pain ahead of time and tell them that if they need to come down, Iâll help them down immediately. âHowever, I donât get paid enough to listen to teenagers scream about their genitals for an hour. If you have to scream, weâre gonna call them âyour honorâ, okay?â
Teenagers screaming âOH NO! MY HONOR!â while swinging through the canopy? Hilarious.
Who knew one could be nostalgic for this? I sure am.

My top 10 favorite zero waste habits/products.
10. French press with metal filter. This is a simple way for every coffee addict to reduce the waste they produce while saving money. When using a french press with metal filters thereâs no need for paper filter or plastic single use k-cups (which are non recyclable). With metal filters you can use them over and over again by washing them between presses, when your filters need to be changed you can easy recycle them, and finally unlike a coffee machine or keurig/tassimo machine most coffee presses are 100% recyclable, can last basically forever if properly kept and use very little material plus they donât use electricity. Â
9. Recycling/composting. This is a simple thing we all can do. When choosing to recycle or compost your waste you help reduce what goes in our landfills and help reduce new materials from being used. Thereâs a lot of people that find it hard to participate in composting but thereâs ways you can do it! You can get an indoor composter or an outdoor composter, even make one yourself! You can use the compost for indoor/outdoor gardening, sell it, gift it to a friend/family member, gift it to a local farmer/community garden or look in to your local compost pickup programs.
8. Growing your own food. May it be a small garden in your windowsill or a large backyard garden, growing your food is an awesome way to reduce your food bill, reduce the environmental impact of your food (i.e. packaging and transportation), reduce food waste and help create cleaner air by planting plants.Â
7. Bulk buying. This is a favorite amongst a lot of zero-wasters. Buying in bulk especially if you can use your own containers is an awesome way to reduce packaging on your products and these places are often are locally run and cheaper.
6. Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, laundry, hand soap bars. Bars are amazing !! Theyâre travel friendly, compact, long lasting (I personally find that thay lasts 2-4X longer than their liquid counterpart making them cheaper in the long run), and often waste free, they can also be fun to make!!
5. Fabric produce/shopping bags. known by most, used by few. Using fabric bags reduces plastic in a big way! A tip to remember your bags: have a fabric backpack you fill with your bags, keep in your car, bike, shopping cart, or remember to wear it when you go out. You can also make your own produce/shopping bags out of old clothing, towels, blankets so onâŚ
4. Reusable fabric toilet paper, tissues, makeup wipes and paper towels. Washing fabric uses way less water than making paper products, fabric is better for your skin and using reusable âpaperâ products saves you money. You can buy new from zero waste shops or make your own out of new or old fabric. Just make sure to sterilize your cloths by boiling them, soaking in vinegar, bleach or other disinfectants before washing. Recommended to wash with other towels, socks and underwear.
3. Reusable Straws. Fun, trendy and friendly! I carry mine in a reusable zip-lock bag (made from food grade silicone) and just throw it in my bag before I leave the house. When I get home if I used them I just wash with hot water and soap with my straw cleaning brush and give my bag a wipe out with hot water. They come in glass, metal and silicone ! ( plastic ones break faster and canât be properly cleaned/sterilized)
2. Thrifting. Thrifting is a fun way to get ânewâ things without paying for the demand of products to be made (depending on the thrift store). You can get unique products from new to vintage, clothing , kitchen, office, entertainment and more! and depending on where you shop a lot of thrift stores donate proceeds to local organizations, and give job experience to people that have none/ are having a hard time getting hired elsewhere.
1. Upcycling. Upcyling is the best!! You can take trash and turn it in to treasure. You can even make a profit off of upcycling or save money. This is very important for non recyclable products, like why throw out your k-cups when you can use them to mold bath bombs, or they can help you germinate seeds for your garden.

YEEEAAAAAHHHH BABEEEEEEEEEY
i understand that my friends donât wanna talk every day. i understand that my s/o doesnât wanna be lovey dovey and super indulgent every day. lots of people need rest from performative emotions. all people need rest in general! itâs okay!! it doesnât mean they donât love me!! itâs not a judgement or punishment!! they deserve to take their rest, and they deserve for me to treat their needs with respect!
oh i get that, but tell that to the unloved child in me that loves to jump to conclusions about how everybody hates her đđđ
the thing is, YOU have to tell her. you have to take her and show her the healthy connections and communications that you were denied as a child. framing recovery as âtaking care of your abused inner child in the way you deserved to be cared for as a real childâ is a useful way to visualize attainable, gradual steps to building the habits that lead to strong, fulfilling relationships. extend your compassion and understanding to that unloved child and see how she blossoms into a vibrant adult.

So if we wanted to watch some French animation, what films would you suggest?
the Triplets of Belleville is about an elderly woman searching for her son who was kidnapped in the middle of a Tour de France race. Itâs largely free of dialogue, but the sound effects and such are wonderful. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Featureâit lost to Finding Nemo.
A Cat in Paris is about a young girl and her cat who discover mysteries in the course of one night. It was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature, but it lost to Rango.
Persepolis is based on an autobiographical graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi about her early life in Iran. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, but it lost to Ratatouille.
the Illusionist is about an aging magician and an imaginative young girl who form a father/daughter relationship. It was also nominated for a Best Animation Oscar, but lost to Toy Story 3.
The Rabbiâs Cat is a story about a cat who swallows a parrot and gains the ability to speak like a human. It is set in 1920âs Algeria.
Ernest & Celestine is the adorable story about a big bear and a little mouse who forge an unlikely friendship. It was also nominated for an Oscar in Best Animated Picture, but lost to Frozen.
Kirikou and the Sorceress is a story inspired by West African folklore that tells the story of Kirikou, a boy who was born with the ability to walk and talk, who saves his people from an evil witch. The film was popular enough to spawn sequels and a stage adaptation.
A Monster in Paris is a 3D animated musical film that is reaaaaalllly loosely based on the Phantom of the Opera. Itâs set in 1910 and is about, surprisingly, a monster that lives in Paris, and his love for a young singer.
The King and the Mockingbird is an 80âs film about a cruel king titled Charles V + III = VIII + VIII = XVI, who is obsessed with a young shepherdess, and whose attempts to capture the young girl are thwarted by a mockingbird whose wife the King had previously killed. Â
Those are probably the most famous of the feature length animated films.
But the animated short films are just as glorious. Hereâs a compilation of a bunch of short films and I can link you to others as well.Â
Sorry for the long answer but I just really love French animation.
Reblogging over here. French animation tends to do better with diversity than Disney does, hahaha.
I should add âLe Tableauâ which is really beautiful, especially if you love art. This movie is highly poetic !
âA château, flowering gardens, a threatening forest, here is what, for mysterious reasons, a Painter has left incomplete. Three kinds of characters live in this painting: the Toupins, who are entirely painted, the Pafinis, who lack a few colors, and the Reufs, who are only sketches. Considering themselves superior, the Toupins take over power, chase the Pafinis from the château, and enslave the Reufs. Convinced that only the Painter can restore harmony by finishing the painting, Ramo, Lola, and Plume decided to go looking for him. Throughout the adventure, questions will follow one after the other: What has become of the Painter? Why did he abandon them? Why did he begin destroying some of his paintings? Will they one day know the Painterâs secret?â
I would highly recommend Ernest & Celestine as the animation is beautiful, the characters are really moving and the story conveys a great message about love, friendship and oppression.
Another thing : have you seen how these amazing movies lost to american big productions ?
Donât forget about Kirikou et la Sorcière.
They didnât forget! Kirikou and the Sorceress, up there.
May I suggest Dragon Hunters for myself? This 2008 feature-length film is based on the 2004-2005 cartoon Chasseurs de dragons, by the same makers (available fully online, by the way). The music, by Klaus Badelt, is hypnotic. The world is beautiful and strange, the characters lovable⌠and the dragons, really good.
Just saying.
hey, wthat about Le jour des corneilles? Its one of my favorites french films
I need to add a few movies myself:
Tout en Haut du Monde / Longway North
A young russian girl goes for a trip to the North Pole to find the boat that her grandfather, a famous explorer, used for his last adventure during which he disappeared⌠Visually stunning, and very cool story and characters.
Avril et le Monde TruquĂŠ / April and the Twisted World
The story is set in a world where science never went further than steam and coal, since itâs been years that all scientists have mysteriously disappeared. April is the daughter of two scientists who disappeared when she was a child. As an adult, April too turns to science in secret, and will discover the reason why scientists have been disappearing all this time. Humour, atmosphere, mystery⌠And based on the graphic style of veteran legend comic book artist Jacques Tardi!
Aya de Yopougon / Aya of Yop City
The everyday life of Aya, a young woman who lives in Ivory Coast at the end of the 70s. Very nice mood and humour!
Adama
A young african boy goes after his older brother who left to fight for France in the war. This will lead him for a whole trip to Paris and beyond. I mainly like it for the graphic style. An interesting look for a 3D movie since they used animated textures.
AstĂŠrix: le domaine des Dieux / AstĂŠrix: the mansion of Gods
By far my favorite movie adaptation from the AstÊrix comic books series. This one revolves around an ingenous plan set by Caesar. He builts fancy appartements for rich romans near the Gaulish village, hoping that the Gauls wont attack civilians but will sitll get annoyed enough by the roman population to want to leave their village⌠and the plan works way too well.
Lascars
How 2 guys from a popular neighboorhood of Paris spend their holidays after being robbed of their trip to a paradise location. One of them tries to borrow money from a local criminal, and the other one finds a job in a rich family.
Very funny, but very not for children as well (drugs, violence, swear words, and sex!)
Le Magasin des Suicides / The Suicide Shop
The Tuvache are a really rich family in a town where nobody is happy to live. They made fortune in selling suicide articles. Unfortunately for them, their youngest son is a really nice, happy little fellow who wants to make peopleâs lives better⌠the first half is really worth watching, for the black sense of humour and originality.
Dofus, Livre 1: Julith / Dofus , First Book: Julith
For all you Ankama / Dofus / Wakfu fans! And for the others as well, since itâs not required to already know the Wafu universe to understand the movie. Follow the adventures of Joris, a young orphan who lives in a wolrd where the Dofus are special magical dragon eggs that grant tremendous power to their owners. Extremely good animation and funny characters.
Le Château des Singes / A Monkeyâs Tale
A movie by the same director who made Le Ableau, Jean-françois Laguionie. A tale about two populations of monkeys, one tribe that lives at the top of the trees, and one that lives on the ground. One day, a young monkey form the tribe of the top will go meet the tribe of the bottom, who seem to live in some medieval kind of way.
U
Now that is one weird movie. About a unicorn named U, who came to help a girl who is not happy with her parents cruelty. Bur that girl isnt very nice herselfâŚ
Now a last quick word about studio Folimage, which is the one that produced A Cat in Paris: most of their movies are must-see. Like, really. Just look at all these visuals!!!
Phantom Boy
La ProphĂŠtie des Grenouilles / Raining Cats and Frogs
Mia et le Migou / Mia and the Migoo
They also produce short movies that can be gorgeous. My favorite is Le Bisclavret!
i was asked to recommande french animated movies by a friend so here is the full list for everyone to enjoy (again)
ahhh thank you! <33
For stop motion fans, please also accept Ma vie de Courgette (AKA My Life as a Courgette/My life as Zuccini)
Seriously, this and Prophetie des Genouilles have some of THE BEST acting and vocal performances of animated children I have ever seen (in the original French language, naturally). Played with such emotion and realism without being pretentious.
Also if you like Asterix I heartily recommend Asterix and the Vikings
And Asterix in Britain (a personal fave ;DÂ Itâs so accurate!)
