Me, problem: I often hear a joke and start laughing, only to realise it wasnāt a joke at all and the person telling the non-joke isnāt pleased that I laughed.
Therapist, solution: wait to see if the other person laughs, if they donāt, itās probably not a joke.

Conclusion: therapy is not going as well as I had hoped it would.
