I was getting ready for work, pulling my blonde hair into a messy bun, throwing on some converse and a flannel because Iโm not like other girls. and eridian grace is ENAMORED. he LOVES it. so much knowledge just at the tip of his claws! oh my songs this is so much more than he could ever ask for! thank thank thank... that keeps him occupied for a Long time. rocky gets a break from all his questions. the only problem?
he likes it a little Too much.
so much so that he doesnt do anything else. he used to be so shy eating around rocky but now he'll do it so he doesnt have to step away from the laptop. he forgets to sleep! he's all grumpy angry stupid now >:0
rocky, taking the laptop away: dude i gotta limit your screentime grace, making grabby claws: noooo give it back give back portable earth thinking machine pleaseee rocky: man i didnt even think it was possible to get addicted to learning but here we are i guess
gracerocky wherein rocky calls grace dumb and stupid so much that grace decides to weaponize it. "oh silly me i forgot you were coming over today! dumb human brains, right?" "oh rocky humans are soooo stupid and inefficient, i don't know how to take my clothes off :(("
and eventually grace gets a kick out of pretending to be ditzy. "ooh rocky i forgot how to do this, can you run it down again? :((" "ugh human bodies are sooo inefficient, rocky pleaseee put sunscreen on my back for me~"
rocky eventually dials it back and he's like "no no no why grace pretending to be dumb, grace is the smartest human ever" and grace is like "you only call me smart when its convenient for u :/ i see how it is :/" and rockys like "noooooo grace is very smart" and grace is like "youre just saying that cuz you want me to do big science for you"

maybe someone already pointed this out but PLEASE look at how they're framing Grace in this scene:
1. At the beginning when he starts to understand what they're asking him vs.
2. the end when he realizes they're serious
He's literally and figuratively boxed in by Stratt and the astronauts. (He's already out of options, he just doesn't know it yet.)
