What first impression do strangers get from your OC?

her mutation doesn't permanently alter her body, so aditi looks inconspicuous to most and it's very on purpose; the less attention on her, the better. she's trying to obtain the average joe look for her daily life, pretty much. it's both out of fear ( if they don't notice me, they cannot hurt me ) and usefulness, given the nature of her powers. she's a great ally to have for stealth and recon missions !

2. Does your OC believe in the concept of luck?

aditi doesn't believe in the concept of luck, but strictly adheres to the law of karma. luck requires no effort since it's something unprompted, something that just happens to you while she's someone who actively works her ass off to achieve her goals rather than waiting for a miracle. adi believes that every cause has its effect = every action has a reaction, just like in science.

tldr; big believer of 'you reap what you sow.'

What brings comfort to your OC (person, place, object, etc.)?

aditi is, over all, a very simple and nostalgic woman. she looks back at a past that will never come back & allows it to define who she is today, instead of bravely take a step forward and leave it behind.

in her marvel verse, she didn't have the happiest of childhoods, but she adored her siblings and doing activities with them. she finds comfort in old movies & board games. she also feels the most at ease on rooftops and high places, enjoying the view and how little everything looks from up there. THE person who brings most comfort to her would be doctor hank mccoy, who basically nursed adi back to relatively good health through re-imagining her respirator, making her daily life much more manageable and peaceful.

in her dispatch verse, not much changes, except the person who would bring her most comfort. in this case, that role would be filled by blonde blazer. aditi is constantly inspired by her; a symbol of hope for the redemption she is so desperately after.

this isn't new. corpses, she means.

aditi's sensitive nostrils catch it immediately: the sharp, metallic smell of iron coming from the next room, so different from the sterile bite of disinfectant that always lingered in her father's laboratory. both scents unsettling, in their own ways.

How rarely anything ever goes according to plan... That was the way of things when it came to superheroing, Ayesha remembered. Looked like it was the same with the administrative side of things.

She was about to reply — maybe joke about how even if she couldn't save the city, she might be able to save the records situation here — when Wraith's demeanor shifted. Hearing the question about the flight license, she'd gone from a professional sort of polite to audibly annoyed.

"I, uh, I don't think you need to retake anything necessarily," Ayesha assured her quickly. "Sorry. That wasn't what I meant. It's just that I can't find a record of your existing license, is all, and I'm trying to figure out which office I should be asking, you know?"

This conversation sure wasn't going according to plan: the longer it went on, the more she felt like she was making misstep after misstep. How had she managed to fumble that question so badly? Should she have gone straight to Blonde Blazer about this, instead of Wraith herself?

Could've, would've, should've. Those weren't exactly important when she had gone to Wraith and Wraith was here, now.

"So... I was just hoping you knew," she added, clutching the file a little tighter out of nerves. "If not, that's totally okay. I'm happy to get out of your hair and do a little more asking around."

unbelievable. she's gone for ONLY two years ( and three months ) and at least one of her records has seemingly vanished, was misplaced or worse: it was discarded. ❝ this place has let itself go since i left. ❞ a bitter critique for someone who has no concrete proof that supports it, there is only a simple absence of what should still be there. but, seeing how not even a stupid license can be found where she last left it, one cannot help but wonder if the quality of its employees has lowered, too. ❝ ... not that it's any of new record manager's fault. ❞ she corrects herself, exhaling softly. after all, it wouldn't be fair to pin all the blame on the new guy.

❝ i left all documents here after my ... forced retirement, so it cannot be with me. ❞ her apartment, unsettlingly enough, is pristine. almost sterile, even, when it comes to any trace of her past. one would never guess she had once stood as one of torrence's protectors. ❝ perhaps, it simply got displaced. ❞ a charitable assumption. perhaps too charitable. ❝ i suppose i can help you locate it, unless duty calls for me again. ❞
