It’s very telling how Eren is talking about the situation (the military feeding Zeke to her) with Historia. He sees it as ‘their’ problem not just ‘her’ problem. He says: “our options are to run or fight”. Eren was prepared to go along with what Historia decided as long as it didn’t involve her becoming a titan.

He was ready to fight by her side or runaway with her. But when she said she’ll allow herself to be sacrificed for the sake of the island, Eren, obviously not being ok with that, sought a different solution, ie the rumbling.

Of course, whenever I see a post that’s like “girls don’t want X, they want Y”, I’m also like “I want both of those things”.
