Tortitude Is Real

i started this account to share my stupid wolf thoughts, with the mindset of "no one will ever see this. i can be myself and write whatever id like." now i find one of my posts reaching 200 likes, and it warms my heart to see so much activity on my blog.

hiiii!!!!! i am also new to therianthropy, i officially awakened this year!!! (though i experienced more of a gradual awakening) i can share some tips on things that i do that make me feel euphoric :3

small things i do that bring me euphoria, that you could try out!

- learn to walk around quietly

- sneak up on your friends or loved ones, and maybe pounce on them hehe

- small bites to communicate love, playfulness, overstimulation, or as a request for space (don’t do it to someone who isn’t ok with that though!!!)

- play with cat toys!!!! either alone or have someone else throw around your toys for you :3

- sunbathing

- napping by the window

- bird watching

- go on a walk with someone! for me it feels like my owner is walking me, i know im a cat but i’m a cat who likes going on walks to explore the outside and chase bugs and birds :3

- wearing fuzzy clothes! fuzzy mittens feel like paws, the same with fuzzy socks, and a fuzzy jacket could feel like the rest of your coat! or maybe wrap yourself up w a fuzzy blanket

- stretching before and after sleeping! yoga brings me piece of mind, i just feel like a sleepy kitty and i forget everything else and get all shifty

- sitting in high places like counters, fences, or tables, you could also climb a tree or maybe hangout on a roof, but that is more dangerous so just be careful if you want to try it!!! i don’t want you to get hurt kitty

- hiding in weird hidden spots like under the table or the bed, in closets, behind furniture, in boxes, etc

- dedicate a journal to talk about your identity! things that make you euphoric or dysphoric, shifts that you experience if any, your experience, etc! (if you would like i could make a separate post for journal entry ideas :3)

- wearing clothes that are a similar color to my coat!

- wearing clothes similar to my coat length, so furless —> tight clothes, short coat —> fitted clothes, medium to long coat —> oversized or ruffled clothes

- rubbing items or people that you love/own with your face :3

- meow at your friends/loved ones as a greeting!

- eating cereal every morning makes me feel like i’m eating my kibble and it makes me so so happy

- biscuits on everything soft and cozy or when you’re happy!

- growing out my nails to be pointy and sharp >:3

- not shaving!!! i like having my leg furs :3

- go to a pet store or shelter to socialize with the other cats!!!!

- research about cat behaviors, anatomy, history, allergies, etc etc. it can also make me dysphoric at times but later on i feel euphoric that i know all of the things about cats. also i researched different breeds, and it took me awhile to figure out what breed i am, but looking at what different breeds are like helped me!!!

- drawing kitties on every paper i write on hehe

- after i shower and im clean, i lick my body. i got this idea from @hollowsvoid!

Does it suck? Yes, but please do not put yourself in possible harms way by being openly alterhuman unless you KNOW you will be safe

There will always be a place where you can be open about that, but if you think somewhere might be risky, do not risk it

It’s better to be unfortunately dysphoric, hidden and safe then possibly being harmed

I’m lucky enough to be semi open about it everywhere most of the time, but i know when it’s better to not be obvious about it for my safety

I hope one day I will see a day where there is no concern for this, but for now stay safe out there
