watched the matrix for the first time yesterday. I was sitting there watching it like “augh this is so cheesy, it’s just another sci-fi movie” then I watched Neo do literally anything and I was like, “th-that’s me. that’s what I would do. that’s me.” Fictionkin is no joke gang, never get addicted ✌️

I don’t want to go to some sort of heaven or hell when I die. I want to close my eyes one last time, then open them again moments later, now living a new life in the form of one of my theriotypes. Screw the afterlife, living in a cycle of beautiful creatures is enough for me.

I’m sick and tired of seeing people make “cringe reaction” videos about therians on YouTube and calling them “furries with extra steps”. One google search. Just. Just one google search, twin. This is a whole group of people having a genuinely beautiful experience and identity and you’re over here bullying a 12 year old for wearing a yarn tail to school.

it’s always so weird to me to see people who normally support cosplay and stuff bash on furries and otherpaws. Like it’s literally just cosplay and roleplay too, bro. No one is getting hurt, and neither of those two things are actually that weird when you think about it.

I wish there were more subtle ways to recognize other therians in public. People always talk about wearing gear or drawing the theta delta on your hand, but those are usually just dead giveaways that strict parents would never allow for. Coming from someone who cannot outwardly express their nonhumanity physically due to strict family, we need to come up with a more secretive way.

people getting so pissed off about therians will never make sense to me. “oh, they’re all ill and they’re ruining their lives and it goes against who they really are and—“ Ma’am, the only reason that therianthropy sometimes decreases my happiness is when people like you are annoying about it. I wish that I could live as a creature more socially irl. I wish I could bark and roll around and get pet and play fetch and not have people look at me like I just set their family’s house on fire yk.

I’ve seen so many people say that as a kid, they would imagine a guy doing parkour and running alongside the car on the freeway. Was I the only one who imagined animals and dragons and stuff? Like, just me? Is this a therian thing or like is this just me.

Got to go to the aquarium today. Got me questioning a shark kintype now.

I think a big reason why a lot of nonhumans think therian TikTok is so toxic is because it’s so based off of looks and aesthetics rather than actual identity. I feel like the community is pretty chill on this site because we’re all so identity focused. The therian community on TikTok, in my opinion, isn’t necessarily centered around therianthropy at all, but rather popular ‘therian culture’, centered more around quadrobics, mask-making, and gear collecting, all physical things that you can watch and look at. Doing those things doesn’t make you a therian, and if you do those things, that doesn’t mean you AREN’T one. It’s just drifted so far from the origin that it barely feels about the nonhuman experience at this point. Sorry for the hot take, chat. I was just having some thoughts.
