He's kind, he freely expresses (at least when his friends are around) admirations for other men. He isn't a dude-bro type like his dad. He isn't a macho. His masculinity isn't Adam's toxic one, nor it is like Vortex's (like Vortex is a good guy, is empathetic and deeply loves Bee, but when I look at him the first thing I think off is *action movie protagonist*). Abel's masculinity (soft, good hearted, regular guy who loves his friends and doesn't live for the gym) is one that I wish to see portraied more often in media, especially with man that aren't queer.

And I'm so happy that Emily is unlabeled. Let me explain: while I hella ship her with Charlie, Vaggi and Alastor, be it in singular ships or polys, and I do find cute the ship with Abel and potentially hilarious the one with Vox, I'm rooting for canon aroace (or at least aro) Emily.

We know from the 2026 Valentine merch that Abel has feelings for Emily. And we also know that Emily can be unlabeled for 2 reasons: she knows she's queer but doesn't care about labels OR to cover a pivotal plot point.

Now, what if the pivotal plot point is Emily's voyage into figuring out that she's aro? They have known each other since forever, but she can't reciprocate that specific feeling. She's full of love, just not the kind of love everyone around her seems to feel for their significant others.

She's the embodiement of love, just not the romantic one.

And with aro/aroace Emily given the type of guy Abel is we can have 2 scenarios:

. finally we'll have a story on our screen where the aro person isn't blamed for not returning the feelings. Yes the rejection will hurt at first, but we'll have a man gracefully accepting it
