I think I have abandonment issues now. I mentioned in the groupchat that most of my friends irl stopped talking to each other (and me). It’s not like there was a huge fight or breakup. Our group just... fizzled out, which is weird, because we’ve been going strong for at least 10 years. Once I really realized they were gone, I cried (of course).

Your message in the group chat on twitter about how you loved us and we came into your life when you were at your lowest? It almost felt like a goodbye. It did, for a minute, if I’m honest. It felt like you were about to say that you’re happier now, going to university, and that you were moving on. It took everything in me not to reply “please never leave.”

I know exactly when you got my last letter because you messaged me, asking how I was and telling me you were there t talk. I realize now that letter sounded like a cry for help (maybe it was).

Ale budu v pořádku. Jen potřebuju čas.

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Sorry about that- I’ve been going through some tough times with finishing school and the whole COVID crisis (America has not been handling it well).
