the people saying that maja was exaggerating about not being able to pay for her hotel because the players get a per diem are so annoying. sure, but it's usually only enough to cover one room so she has to pay for her team and family herself. and iirc it only gets paid at the end so it's not much use if she runs out of money during the tournament
wait did eurosport really get maja's tennis enemy to comment on her in their lead up to the final 💀

i am feeling something more than pride. i am beyond happy for maja because not only she reached the final of a grand slam but she now has all the resources to show the world her tennis - the money, the ranking and the visibility. she is such an amazing player with a high tennis iq who plays tennis in such an intelligent way. i am so happy for her. she deserves it

Sorry for bringing up a topic people on here like to avoid but I’m also feeling very bitter that after the ukrainian madroma winners, Marta talking about the bombings in her hometown and Oliynykovas bravery the biggest clay tournament was now won by a Russian that got awarded the honour medal by Putin

anyway, remember when a crafty lefty player lost convincingly in an rg final to a player with a lot of slice and then went on to win wimbledon four years later? 2030, we will be waiting
immensely proud of maja 🫂
just came across a polish woman teaching a gaggle of french/international people how to say 'chwalińska' and how to cheer for maja in polish 😭❤️

MAJA CHWALINSKA
Wins her semifinal match against Diana Shnaider (7-6(4), 6-4) at the 2026 French Open. She advances to the finals to meet the 8th seed Mirra Andreeva. This is only her third main draw at a grand slam yet Maja is the second qualifier after Emma Raducanu in 2021 to make it to a grand slam final. She was ranked World No. 114 and is now at a new career high of World No. 21 in the live rankings currently. If she wins Roland-Garros, she will be amongst the top 15
Evie how are you feeling? 🥹🧡
overjoyed, exhilarated 🧡 all this time watching her gorgeous, gorgeous game be hampered by injuries and depression, and choosing to be her fan no matter what, and now she's won nine matches in a row at a slam and outclutched everybody. i'm overwhelmingly proud of her, dawaj!
