“So, you’re goin’ right for speed. PIkachu, dodge that with Iron Tail!”

Rattata was quickly scampering his way… Well, quickly was relative, but it was trying! “Chu…” Pikachu leaned forward, charging his tail in a protective layer of metal. It was coiled, then smashed against the ground below him! “Pi!”

Iron Tail sprung him high above the ground, bringing him safely out of Rattata’s path.

Joey's eyes went wide as he watched what, to him, seemed to be a brilliant maneuver he would've never thought of himself. He tried to decide what to do next, to come up with some sort of strategy, but he was too distracted to think fast.

Ratty threw him a questioning and very impatient look.

“We’ll see. Pikachu? Let’s see what that Rattata can do!”

“Pika!” They were never ones to question potential! He hopped down onto all fours, opposite of the field mouse. Ears twitching and cheeks crackling, he was ready to go!

The Rattata threw a glance over its shoulder at Joey, asking for instructions. Joey grinned at it and took a few steps back to make more room, before turning back to Ash. "So, righ' here an' righ' now? Alrigh', le's star' with a Quick Attack!"

"Wait wait wait how old did ya say ya were again?"

Here comes youngster Joey, Johto's top percentage conspiracy theorist! This blog is still under construction and probably will be for a while. I don't know how active I'll be on here since I have other more important blogs to run, but maybe you want to drop this kid a follow anyway?

This child was stupid! Nero stifled a laugh, trying so hard not to seem too suspicious. He rested his hand on KoKo’s pokéball, grinning widely as he looked - leered - down towards the child in front of him.

“ Well, if that IS what you BELIEVE– let’s put your PRECIOUS little R A T T Y to the TEST. “

“Oh yeah, ‘top percentage,’ huh?” …Honestly, what did that even mean?

Well, context helped. “You lookin’ to prove that?”

Was… was this child an idiot? Nero felt an urge to kill rising, his hand idly sliding to his side to rest upon his Salazzle’s Pokéball. No one was around, his precious could have a delicious meal of Rat and Parasite without any consequence. Would anyone even miss this disgusting thing?

“ Let’s put it THIS way; if PEOPLE are BUGS, I’m an EXTERMINATOR. 

“ I wasn’t TALKING about the RAT; they actually have a USE to me– more SPECIFICALLY to my DARLING KoKo. “

“ No, I was TALKING about YOU. What do YOU want, BUG. It better be WORTH it, for YOUR sake. “

“Hey, I’m sure your Rattata’s great, but Pikachu’s an amazing pokemon!”

“Pikachu…” Why was this being compared, again…?

“Oh, uh…they aight. Personally not my first choice for an early catch. But I did have a Raticate for quite some time in Reborn. Tough little thing!”
