This exactly. I personally don’t like Messi because of his choice to associate with Trump (something he was torn apart for by much of Argentina), and I think individual fans and players should be held to full account for their behaviour. And if these are reasons someone was turned away from supporting Argentina I understand and respect that, but when my friends say they’re worried for their and fellow Argentinean’s safety… that’s how I know it’s gone way too far.
