my mom is starting chemo today. stage 4 is wack because they’re like yeah you’ll just do this forever til it doesn’t work. she’s so nervous about losing her hair but her doctor said she won’t and i pray that’s true

the nice thing abt learning a language is that my spanish is now at the perfect level where i can indulge all my low brow reading interests in spanish and call it studying. yayyy thrillers and trashy romances!! when i read them in english i feel vaguely like im wasting my time, but no longer ☝️

my spanish speaking ability is so bad when i’m not in a customer service situation i need to be more gregarious and start convos with random people so i can get better. peruvian pilot i met at the bar kindly let me practice with him but god it was so embarrassing. but i guess you only get better through embarrassing yourself….

thought i the second book in the series i started but it was the THIRD. and it’s so hot so im not going out of my hotel til it cools down. me and my phone til then i guess. my mom’s clinical trial she was gonna do is a bust so not sure what’s next for her. she and i have gone full hedonism and she got me my own hotel room. and a new bathing suit. the things we care about at such times…..
