for real i don't think being racist towards black americans and native americans in our behalf is helping us at all in latin america. the energy and time you waste in calling a random black person "amerikkkan" or arguing that native americans are actually privileged for living in reservations and in food deserts could go towards helping madres buscadoras or donating to damnificados de venezuela or literally anything else you can imagine. please stop being racist online and instead help us in an actually tangible way. thankies
Black panther poster. Just as relevant today
listen just cause knockout loves committing medical malpractice doesn't mean he's bad at his job. far from it, he's a great doctor when he wants to be. the medical malpractice is a choice
The Battle of the five Armies countdown - day 21 of 30
Bonus:
This thing from 2014 is my legacy. It’s got an insane number of notes and it still gets reblogs and likes everyday. I see people tagging it as #aclassic and I’ve met people in real life showing it to me not knowing I did it.
I was looking at it and realised that today, after 10 years I’d have done it the other way round.
I haven’t been in the Tolkien fandom for literally all of these 10 years so I don’t know if it’s been done already but here’s my updated version.
It’s…much funnier to me now lmao

one of the greatest commissions I've ever gotten
they should invent a sleep that happens when you want it to
After seeing whatever that thing is, I can't blame this person for their reaction. What IS that—is it a bug??? I thought it was a 🦞. Don't hold it in your hand 😖 ughh. It looked cute in your drawing… until I saw it in real life

Seventh picture for @creatingblackcharacters Melanin Beam Challenge! This one is an edit of April O'Neil and Casey Jones from the 2003 TMNT series!
Genuinely, one of the measures that's stopped book banning the most when districts implement it, is having the would-be banners fill out a form that demonstrates if they've read the book or not. Like where they have the summarize the plot and characters and do a mini book report and give a review. It stops them in their tracks. This is why in my high school, every time someone wanted to ban a book it ended up going nowhere. There was one where a conservative student wanted to ban the manga "Legal Drug" for having a marijuana leaf on the cover, then got the form that required them to actually read and either balked, or read it and realized it was not pro-drug at all. (The other one that reduces book bans even further is "requiring the would-be banner to be affiliated with this actual school in some way, either by being a student, faculty/staff or a parent of a child at the school" because the vast majority of bans are "activists" with no affiliation with the school who just travel around trying to do this in districts all over the U.S. IIRC a few years ago someone crunched the numbers and just 51 parents were responsible for all the book bans that year nationally. 51! In a country with 50 states, with over 300 million people total!)
Laws like this indeed do a lot to stop fascist book censorship. They can also help legally protect librarians from getting fired or harassed for keeping books on the shelves! Some states like Rhode Island have already passed these laws. If you're in a blue state, look up whether you have laws like this on the books. MAYBE your state is trying to get one passed right now, like New York's Freedom to Read bill. call your state elected officials to voice support for it.
I, a hearing person who likes subtitles just as a preference, shouldn't have to read a subtitle that's obvious nonsense, go back a couple seconds, and listen again in order to figure out what's going on. An accessibility feature should not be the most half-assed part of a professionally made production. Scripted media has absolutely no excuse for not having subtitles or having subtitles that aren't perfectly verbatim. Professional captioning services should be ashamed of the shoddy work that they put out. Captions should be treated as a part of the production, just like filming, editing, audio balancing, etc - and anything that releases with missing or bad captions should be seen as unfinished

But what if TFA Prowl had just as many toxic exes as IDW Prowl
Expanded on this with help from @pixelartpeach! Keep reading for AU plotting:
Prowl was forged during or shortly before the Great War. Unlike most Transformers, he lacked an innate power (read here for that headcanon) and so was treated as defective--stuck in a menial job and looked down on. Chromedome was the only bot he was close to. Their relationship wasn't great--Prowl was bitter about his lot in life and Chromedome had his own issues. Even so, when the draft came and Prowl decided to refuse it, he invited Chromedome to run away with him.
Chromedome said no. Prowl said "screw you" and left. Ex #1.
While drifting across the planet to avoid authorities, Prowl crossed paths with a scientist named Mesothulas. He wound up partnering with Meso, fetching supplies and running messages in exchange for fuel and a place to stay. Meso was also interested in Prowl's power-less spark--specifically, he wanted to see if he could give Prowl a special ability artificially. Prowl agreed and let himself be experimented on. Meso is the one who gave him his jump jets and hologram generator (both of them from failed experiments). But the experiments got more invasive and Meso got weirder about it and Prowl eventually decided it was time to cut ties. And by "cut ties," I mean he deleted all of Meso's research and then trashed the lab before skedaddling. Maybe stabbed Mesothulas on his way out. Young Prowl had a habit of burning bridges. Anyway, Ex #2!
After that, Prowl got caught and arrested and that's when Yoketron intervened. He spent decades in the dojo unlearning his worst behaviors and trying to make Yoketron proud. Then he got sent on his optics quest. Sometime during that quest, he clashed with a Combiner team and wowed them with his strategy and skill. They still think about him a lot... (can you call them Exes if it's one-sided pining?)
Anyway, he eventually gave up on his search for purpose and went back to the dojo--we know what happened there. Then he exiled himself to space for a million stellar cycles until Op's crew barged into his life. And the rest is history.
Now I'm gonna imagine a scenario where all these bots from his past show up on Earth and Prowl has to explain to the team how he knows them.
Hi there! Here's my submission for the melanin beam challenge, from the Transformers community! I drew Jazz and Megatron. Also I heard it was your birthday recently! I hope you have a good day.
AYYYYYEEEEEEE I LOVE THESE!
