Taffeta taking on a responsibility/protective role again over the other racers. In her own way she felt she was protecting them in the first movie too.

Ralph is ridiculous here, knowingly breaking so many dangerous rules then saying RELAX?

This is genuinely HORRIFYING as game characters to hear and they have no trusted/responsible adult to comfort them.

HOW DO THEY NOT SEE RALPH? HOW HAVE THEY NOT COMPLETELY MESSED THIS ALL UP SOONER??

I haven't watched RBTI aside from a few minutes but my goodness do I have THOUGHTS.

King Candy/Turbo went 15 years making sure everything was kept running in Sugar Rush. Even without the 'main' character on the CABINET'S art missing, the game was still popular and kept alive with him as ruler and overseeing everything.

Even thought Vanellope was the rightful ruler.

SO TELL ME WHY it took her only 5-6 years to get bored with the game/position she WANTED for years and then decided to up and abandon it. Like girl, that is YOUR KINGDOM. They DEPENDED on you. Not only did the game lose an entire cabinet beside it, she broke her own rules that KC/Turbo genuinely warned everyone about, caused it to be unplugged, her subjects homeless, and then decides "k I'm out bye".

Girl really left a mess once she took over, it sounds bad, but girl, WHAT happened to your second cabinet.

It's kinda concerning how casual Van looks, hands in pockets while her game's only controller literately just broke.

King Candy would of jumped at the chance to lead Sugar Rush I don't doubt it. Granted, they would be wary of him, who wouldn't, but like, the other option is no one. I do like how Taffyta does try to protect her fellow racers and her own game, even better than Van did. Didn't expect that. It was hinted she respected KC back when he was ruling.

Maybe Turbo wasn't THAT bad?

Yeah, he did bad stuff but Vanelope did too. She became Turbo but uncaring about the citizens of sugar rush?

I saw one post one time that said that turbo/KC faked like protecting the citizens of sugar rush so much that he might actually worry about them later on since he probably wasn't faking after being in charge for so long.

I feel like villains can also have soft spots for other people, and maybe he did had a soft spot for the sugar rush characters, he probably wanted the best for them (and him ofc) but executed that bad

If KC and Vanelope worked together they would have been an awesome duo

But it wouldn't be that much fair since he game overed the twins (if they didn't manage to escape)

So both of the routes are very gray and mostly unfair.

The best thing that could happen after Vanelope left her place it would be that the game creates a new princess/president to bring comfort to the sugar rush people

Since they mostly are children. They would need a mother/father figure that guides them to do good (like Felix and Calhoun but for an entire game)

YES he may have been selfish and greedy but he LOVED order and rules. Loved to make and uphold them.

As much as they were to keep Vanellope from racing they were to keep the game running smoothly, keep his paradise going on forever.

The citizens looked to him when they were scared, depended on him to soothe their fears and know what to do and he always DID!

BUT I REALLY don't blame Vanellope.

She's just a kid and maybe didn't even want to rule when she was CREATED for it let alone after she spent years being left out and bullied by these people. I wouldn't want to rule them either!

"I just want to RACE like you guys."

Even when she gets her 'happy ending' it's not something she asked for, she just wanted to be a racer not ruler of the racers.

It's why it's so painful to think that Turbo may have been able to show up day one and... ask nicely to be part of the game.

And his expertise and enjoyment of rules would make him the perfect candidate for her dull job.

I pointed out that it may have been an act but it was an act he kept up for 15 years straight.

Being nice to Sour Bill, Wynnchell and Duncan even when King Candy himself is stressed.

It's good for his image to appear nice so he acts nice but we never see that attitude slip unless it's directed at someone he sees as the "enemy".

Even then he's not publicly awful to Vanellope, Taffeta takes it upon herself to destroy Vanellope's first kart the Lickity-Split.

KING CANDY NEVER DISRESPECTED HIS SUBJECTS

(aside from Van)

Even during times they're alone or not in the public view, we never see him be rude to either Sour Bill, Wynnchell, Duncan, etc. He was openly pissed at Ralph, threatening him to not disturb his game and such, but he never threatened his subjects no matter how upset he got. You would think, given how dangerous we heard Turbo was, that we would get some sort of scene of either yelling at Sour Bill or see cracks behind a mask, but no.

The most we get is a line from Magical Kingdoms video game about Sour Bill rubbing his feet, and even that's still considered an alt universe/non canon.

The scene of Wynnchell and Duncan coming up to him to wordlessly say they didn't found Van, he could of easily yelled, gone off or even insulted them like any other petty Disney villain with his minions. But he just says "Leave me" (rather sad-toned) and then leaves Sour Bill in charge.

Even if he had reprogrammed everyone's mind/memories to be loyal to him no matter what, he still could have easily gone off at them without consequence, and still didn't.

I decide to go based on the one theory of King Candy actually being a NPC/Racer and father of Vanellope before turbo took over, but instead King Candy takes him in and they become good friends to lovers, Turbo becoming reformed.
