Hi! Can you do: 10, 40, 48, 52 please?
Title: “You’re shivering.”
Pairings: Reader x Loki
Warnings: So fluffy I’m gonna die (also set as though infinity war never happened because I cant deal with that shit)
Word Count
A/N: None.
Prompt: Numbers: 10, 40, 48, 52 (Bedroom, “You’re shivering.”, Loki, Fluff)
“Loki!” Roars erupted from the sky as the heavens opened. Rain poured as though someone had turned a shower on and left it hanging over the clouds. Water ricocheted across the fields hitting you sideways. It felt as though gravel was being tossed at you from a distance but with enough force to bruise your peach-like skin.
“Y/N! Keep running just get inside! I’ve got the windows. Go!” Loki’s hair was matted and thick black strands of it were snaking their way around his face and neck, impairing his vision a little.
It had been lashing down with hail and rain since early in the afternoon. You and Loki had been sent out to the local residents on family business and had taken a detour through the fields back to your little house just on the outskirts of Asgard.
Since Ragnarok, both Thor and Loki had made an agreement that Asgard is not the place, it’s the people. By making home on a nearby realm which consisted mostly of fields and countryside, the two of you had become rather accustomed to the quiet life. An oppressive, thick greyed sky hung above them. The rain appeared to be weighing down the atmosphere, though the stuffy feel should have warned them days in advance of what was to come.
After Loki had finished running loops around the house, making sure all shutters and other rain blockers had been secured and fastened, the two of you locked the doors and stood still like drowned rats looking rather sorry for themselves. “You’ve got a little rain just… there.” You pointed at his eyebrow. A fresh droplet of water sat comfortably above his right eye. It was slowly trickling south, down to his emerald eyes making him look as though he had been crying. It now rested delicately on his cheek which was raised a little due to his faint smile. “Don’t cry, it’s only a bit of rain.” You laughed and raised your hand to his face. Your index finger placed under his earlobe. With your palm resting on his flushed cheek, you took your thumb and wiped it gently across it, smearing the droplet across into nothing. All that remained was a swipe of moisture.
Before you could remove your hand, Loki had taken your wrist in his making you jolt back a little due to the dramatic decrease in temperature. “Sorry, I forget I am cooler than your average being.” His apologetic smile was reciprocated by both of your hands now firmly caressing his smooth cheekbones.
“Well,” Your face was now level with his, your calf muscles pulling as you leveled your head with his. You spent half your life upon your tiptoes. “This little average being loves your body temperature.” You paused and he began to laugh. “Okay yep, that’s the weirdest thing I have ever said.” Just as you were about to pull away from him and give your tired legs a break, he pulled you into a cooling embrace.
As much as you loved being close to him, on this occasion, it wasn’t helping your hypothermia. You could feel his cool breath seeping out onto your neck, sending shivers down your spine. “Darling, you’re shivering!” You pulled away slightly so that you could make eye contact with him; your teeth beginning to chatter. “I know. Sorry but I am not cut out for this weather.” You chuckled. Your voice was coated with apprehension though as you didn’t want to upset him. He was always conscious of his low body temperature.
“Come on little one. Let’s go and get warm.” He removed your hands from his waist and gripped them tightly. He leads you into the bedroom where the fire was already roaring away. The freshly placed logs were crackling gently, flames eating away at the cool air in the room, replacing it with heat and a calming aroma.
“Loki. Did you do this? Actually no. How did you get this ready? You were with me all day.” He knelt down next to the fire and prodded it with the metal probe which stood upon a stand adjacent to the mantlepiece. The flames fired out a little as he did so, lapping at his hands making you cringe at the slight danger involved with an actual fire.
“Darling. I am the god of mischief.”“That’s not a good enough answer.” Your eyebrow raised in a bemused fashion.
“Oh isn’t it?”
“No.” You sat on the edge of the bed, watching him as he went about his fire maintenance.
“Come here you.” He smiled an exhausted smile, his arms beckoning your presence.
You scooted off the bed and onto the floor next to him. It was a while before either of you moved; you were both comfortable in each-others presence that this too each of you was some kind of blissful state.
“Well, you know.” Loki interrupted the silence. “A fire isn’t the only way to get warm.”
“Oh?” He leaned into the embrace and his cool lips met with yours. “What other ways are there?”
“If you play your cards right, I might show you.”

Where are we? ”Paris, 2010 AD, and this is the mighty Musée D'Orsay, home to many of the greatest paintings in history.” [Vincent and the Doctor]
Ways to feel connected to nature in times of quarantine
🌿 spend as much in direct and indirect sunlight as you can
🌿 stay near your window and keep it open as much as possible, breath in the air from outside
🌿 watch nature documentaries and movies that show a lot of nature. If you have Netflix I strongly recommend Arietty (and all other studio ghibli movies)
🌿 drink a lot, always. Try some loose tea if you can - not only will the warmth be good for your mental health, the leaves will give your monkey brain a stronger sense of accomplishment
🌿 look at your houseplants, as weird as that sounds, and eat fresh
🌿 paint or stitch animals, flowers, beaches, whatever you need!
🌿 look around online for natural sounds! Birds singing, waves, leaves rustling
🌿 read physical books, believe me
🌿 change your scenery. Hang pictures of nature, paint or print them out, or hang some leaves
🌿 meditate on nature and visualze the heck out of it. Try imagining moss growing on your walls and a stream running from your door to the window
🌿 take a shower imagingin rain or a bath imagining being in the ocean
🌿 light some candles and look at the moving flames, esp in the evening
legends
You better fuckin believe it [x]
