“of course i know you. you’re, like... one of my favorite people.” she wasn’t admitting to anything too ungodly, too out of step with their easy relationship. ‘one of’. she didn’t HAVE to mean top three ( even if he ranked quite well ). and she didn’t feel like she couldn’t say. tova, at her heart, was sweet. she was a good kid. she loved her family, and she loved good news. “that’s so amazing-” her eyes wide and full of emotion, tova let her head fall into her hands, expression turning dreamy, “it’s beautiful. true love conquering all, and whatnot - what kind of suit are you gonna wear? something dashing. and the theme! what theme?”

“Oh, yeah. I’m sure.” Bjørn laughed. “I could, you’re right. But then it wouldn’t be as fun! Besides, it’s funny watching you get frustrated at this.”

“for all you know, i’m a video game pro.” even the way she WORDED it was insincere. maybe tova was ; but she wasn’t doing a good job of convincing herself, nevermind him. “i’m not frustrated. i’m not! i’m just...- i don’t GET it. what’s the point? why do i need to do all of this to get to you? what’s going on?”
