Seeing someone comment “wow i never considered a schizophrenic person as the victim and not the serial killer” makes me so fucking mad. All those media portrayals are wrong!!! Schizophrenic serial killers are not common!!! Most criminals are entirely sane and usually neurotypical!!! People with schizophrenia are way more likely to be victims of abuse than perpetrators of it. We are not inherently violent. A schizophrenic person who deals with persecutory symptoms are not an immediate sign of harmful behavior. Its actually a lot more realistic for schizophrenics to be in victim roles in media

i completely agree we need to normalize cw’ing and/or tagging nsft posts more often in the rqc but can we NOT act like having sexual blogs, yes even ones that have no other purpose than to BE sexual are bad things? because it reeks of censorship when you suggest that sexual blogs shouldnt be in the rqc or shouldnt be popular or what have you for xyz reason.
people with (and without) paras are going to have sexual fantasies, and sometimes theyre gonna vent that out on their blogs, thats normal and fine; lets just normalize cw’ing and/or tagging that stuff properly so that people who dont want to see it dont have to! we dont need to get rid of every sexual blog for this to happen
(and for those who might not know HOW to properly cw your posts, you can use the divider feature or you can use tags such as “cw nsft” directly on your post. ik its usually common knowledge but i also think we shouldnt assume everyone knows these things, some people are new to this kind of stuff.)

SPIDER-MAN BRAND NEW DAY SPOILERS!!!
soo yeah. it was mediocre/joking
seriously it was SO good. the music and the jokes and the fights were all fantastic (ive been listening to the soundtrack on loop) and it just felt so alive.
seeing peter go through his literal nightmare, losing everything he loves and becoming the monster he feared he would become, was such a beautifully masterful experience. everything felt so deeply soulful, it was like I was experiencing it myself.
quick detour here, but i want to talk about my own life. i've had a scary few months, what with coming out as radqueer on tumblr, changing therapists, getting on new medicine, and maybe being bipolar/schizophrenic, its been hard. i felt like i was coming apart almost every day. i had lost all of my friends, and i was questioning most of my other relationships. watching bnd felt like i was reliving all of that, especially when peter jumped off of a roof after the apartment party (im not crazy that was definitely a suicide attempt right???)
peter finally accepting his own inhumanity felt like my own journey through identity as autistic, queer, and otherkin.
watching this movie made me realize just how many people are out there. everyone is waiting for the right moment, everyone is yearning for something they never knew, everyone is there. during one of the last scenes, when peter walked out of the hospital, it felt like i was living again. there are so many people who will be there for you, so many people who will always protect you. you just have to find them.
after i exited the theatre, i promised to never kill myself. i hope you make that promise too.
