I never post on tumblr and I almost never get political but honestly sometimes you have to stand with people

People are protesting for their right to be alive and walk the streets safe, obviously some are taking things too far and obviously some are taking advantage of real and righteous anger to make money or hurt others and that is not right.

Black lives matter is such a simple and true statement, but let’s be honest, as in all groups, terrible people will infiltrate it and do awful things in its name. I implore those of you that are angry at these protesters and calling for their arrest, or calling for justice for those they have hurt… To look around and realize that this feeling of righteous anger is exactly where they are coming from as well.

I do not condone the violence being done by people marching the streets, but neither will I condemn the people who take to them. If people will not listen then the urge to make yourself heard in the face of injustice is a natural one.
