life will pass by in a screwed sphere to fry .. meanwhile it seems like the fried again try to guide in a regional way of pride. at least i guess the chicken, which can not fly, will still be fried in the upcoming moments when the sun gonna rise - no matter if your or mine grandma will die.

some analog and digital glitching experiments

I did several experiments with implementing values from several sensors into an operating computer system. First I used Phidget hardware to work with light-sensors in combination with the application VVVV. After this I did some research about including Adruino Tools in Processing. I was very amused when I recognized how easy it is to measure my environment and work with the values in a digital reproduction. The interaction between virtual and real spaces seemed really close and I thought about the physical and chemical elements and reactions, which surrounding us in every days life. After some more research and discussions with Julian Stadon I came to the conclusion to work with the Smart Citizen Kit and the Eltako Windsensor to measure temperature, light intensity, air composition, sound levels, wind intensity and humidity. “thunderstorm” is an installation in public space. The goal is to build up a coexisting system that consists of natural and artificial elements, which interact with each other and create an immersive environment. Natural elements are weather and air composition components. All the measured values will be integrated in VVVV to create diverse interacting visualization for several components like temperature, air composition, etc. Further selected values will be sent to Max/Msp to generate an auditive abstract impression. In the installation “thunderstorm” concrete impulses like weather, air composition and further environmental elements will be used to tell an abstract story, a story which takes place in a composition of virtual and natural spaces. Also the project involves the discussion about the human being as a form of catalyst influencing its surrounding environment.  Further the installation should produce an experience of a transformed view of the passing recipient in public space. It’s reciprocity of both: the nature and us acting in its and in from humans created spaces.  The installation can blur the border between virtuality and reality.
