You see, being picked up by the astral express was not on your bingo card in any way, shape or form. Somehow or another, you managed to become one of their many strays that suddenly got adopted and now you live out your days on the giant space train

Who knows! Who cares! Doesnโt matter now cause youโre here so three cheers! Yippeee! Yahoo!
Anyways, you were an absolute joy to be around. There was a certain energy about you that was both greatly unsettling but wholly entertaining, and you were a great friend. I mean, come on, who wouldnโt be drawn to you? Look at your amazing face and your amazing personality and your amazing self!
Is what you tell the crew all the time. There was a certain, tiny, ittie bittie problem
You were a shapeshifter. You could turn into anyone that catches your eye and completely mimic their appearance; the way they speak and the way they act if you had time to study them
Figuring this out for the crew was, again, mildly unsettling
โWow! Check this out!โ March kicked her feet as she brought over a comic book that she had been reading to Caelus and Dan Heng while you chilled on Caelusโ bed (since he had the designated โhang outโ room).
She pointed to a character on one of the pages, one that looked exactly like youโ and acted like you to, โIsnโt that cool?!โ
โWoah!โ The gray haired man gasped, looked between you and the page, and then shoved it in your face, โDude, you could totally sue them for copyright! They copied you! Itโs actually kinda creepyโฆโ
You sputtered, taking the page out of your face and looking at it, then laughing, โOh! This character?!โ Dan Heng had started to become suspicious at your reaction, going as far as to cross his arms and narrow his eyes, โYou seem to know about the character pretty well.โ
You rolled onto your stomach, โWell duh, I canโt copy them without studying them.โ
โHuh?โ The three blinked.
โYeah!โ You showed them, turning your hair a bright pink and mimicking March 7thโs signature peace sign, โItโs totally cool!โ She squealed, jumping up and down, and pointed at you, โYou just copied me!โ
You did the same, jumping, pointing, and all, โYou just copied me!โ
Caelus gaped, โDo me! Me next! Me next!โ
Dan Heng face palmed, โI donโt think this is a good ideaโโ
โWoah ho! Totally awesome!โ You pointed to your face, and then the real Caelus once you shifted.
Dan Heng waved his hands around to get your attention, โWaitโ wait. As cool as that is, itโs dangerous. They could be impersonating anybody. They could be anybody, for that matter.โ
โOr they could be having fun just because they can,โ You tilted your head as you took on the expressโ guardโs face. โSometimes there isnโt a deeper meaning than beyond what you see.โ

You shook your head, turning back into what the crew can only assume was your persona. โYea, well, Iโm not a dangerous person. If I was, I definitely wouldโve done something a whole lot earlier. But here I am, getting kidnapped and adopted, I like the free food.โ
After that, they more or less accepted the fact that you could just shift whenever you wanted. It wasnโt even that big of an issue since you kept your persona almost all of the time. The other times you shifted was to be a โspyโ or when youโre on a planet just to get through certain situations
Obviously, youโd have something called an identity crises. You donโt know exactly who you are, you donโt know who you used to be, and you donโt know whatโs in your future. It was honestly devastating for you.
But those three? They would stay with you however long you needed, and even put you in a giant cuddle pile in the hopes to make you feel better
You let out a wet laugh, wiping your eyes as best as you could. It was harder than it looked, since you were squished up against Dan Hengโs chest, March 7th had her arms locked around yours from behind, and Caelus was just lying on top of you. All of them somehow managed to balance each other out, March was stupidly cold, Caelus was stupidly hot, and Dan Heng was a regular body temperature
โIs your crises over?โ Caelus asked hopefully.
โDoes it at least feel better?โ March asked.
โYeah.โ You nodded and hiccuped, unintentionally completely intentionally burying your head in Dan Hengโs chest
