It was a comforting cup of hot peppermint tea on a cold autumn night by the fire, a delightful spring walk in a garden full of delicate beautiful flowers and fragrant herbs, a dip in a lake on a hot summer day, and the balm for my aching soul. I really liked the modern day practicing witch Milly who lived a solitary life in a cottage with her kitty “familiar” surrounded by her garden and a forest. I absolutely adored her for her strength, independence, kindness, and for her connection to nature and her mom via traditions, magic, and never ending love. I liked Roarke from the very first time he appeared in the story but I shared Milly’s cautious and somewhat anxious feelings towards him and the whole situation they ended up in. I enjoyed their dreamscapes adventures just as much as the intimate love story and the magic aspect.
